Did You Know...

... that iFLY Tampa and iFLY Fort Lauderdale tied their ICL total for May?

4Action members for ICL Fort Lauderdale: Marcella Rey, Anatoly Yuntsevich, Jake Perlman
posted Jun 6th, 2025 - The NSL News mentioned the planned comeback of the Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Tampa first on May 25th. The comeback eventually happened, as the NSL News reported on May 29th.

The iFLY Tampa team last month managed to break the 100-point benchmark at the comeback event with the four different lineups, who all contributed to the total of 101 points for the month of May, all of them with a mixture of participants at the ICL events at iFLY Tampa years ago and new 4-way competitors. The same four lineups had one training session the same evening to become familiar with each other and before the May sequences were performed later on.

Marcella Ray's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Lauderdale has been organizing her events in a different way, which resemble more the format of the Czech ICL group at the Hurricane Factory. Her participants have committed to represent iFLY Fort Lauderdale on the ICL leaderboard with the same lineups for the whole year. 4Action members of 2024 (Marcella Rey, Jake Perlman, Anatoly Yuntsevich) are managing the three lineups who become nore familiar with each other event by event, even though they are not committed to the teams outside of the Indoor Cloud League events.

Indoor Cloud League May 2025: iFLY Fort Lauderdale
ICL Tampa team in February 2020
That's the main difference compared to the Czech 4-way teams who perform the Indoor Cloud League sequences month by month, while they are also training for traditional indoor and outdoor competition. The iFLY Tampa team uses the third different format how to generate the monthly scores and videos.

The Czech ICL group with the well trained 4-way junior and senior teams has been out of reach this year so far, while the May leaderboard features a very rare tie between two teams, iFLY Fort Lauderdale and iFLY Tampa. It was the first time since April 2024 that iFLY Fort Lauderdale scored above the 100-point benchmark with the same total of 101 points. The highest total for Marcella Rey's team was 103 in February 2024.

The iFLY Tampa team broke the 100 last time in February 2020 and had finished with a total of 85 points at the last previous event in June 2021. The 101 points at the comeback event are a great starting point for iFLY Tampa, and the two Florida teams will probably continue to challenge each other in the coming months. Mike Talerico, organizer of the iFLY Tampa team, is also planning to catch up with earlier months this year, which became an option of the Indoor Cloud League as a result of the difficult conditions throughout and after the corona virus crisis.
