Did You Know...

... that the speed test is the final practice opportunity?

Live coverage: Sonic and Regan
posted Apr 10th, 2025 - The official part on the agenda of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025 began on Wednesday at 3 pm Eastern Time of the United States. The registered teams had two additional minutes of flying time included in their event packages that were meant to be used for the speed test.

The tunnel operator needs this information from the participating teams to be able to provide them with the team specific air speed when it's their turn to perform the 35 seconds of working time. Most of the teams use the opportunity for the very last practice on the last day before Round 1 of the competition. The speed test sequences are the choices of each team.

Not all teams fly their additional two minutes. They may have other plans for the day before the competition begins. They can provide the tunnel operator with their specific air speed information if they know it after previous training sessions.

The speed test is still a great opportunity for the audience to take a last look at the teams before the competition begins with Round 1. The NSL News used the opportunity to record as much footage as possible for the last introductions and the last impressions on Wednesday afternoon.
