... that the Shamrock Showdown 2022 ended with Airspeed and HayaBusa NSL Live Talk?

Arizona Airspeed and NMP PCH HayaBusa after Round 10 at the Shamrock Showdown
posted Mar 4th, 2022 - The Shamrock Showdown duel between Arizona Airspeed and NMP PCH HayaBusa was completed at noon on Friday. Anion Flux XP continue with their first AA Class outdoor rounds, which are still judged by InTime's Claire King and Dirk Venter, and Jim Rees.

There were no surprises on the second day of the competition, when the still reigning 4-way world champions from Belgium and the world's new top team from Arizona performed the remaining three rounds on Friday morning.

Arizona Airspeed won with the current lineup's highest 10-round outdoor average, who are now on track to bring back the William H. Ottley Sword for 4-way Formation Skydiving competition, also known as the "Excalibur", to the United States.

Airspeed's outside center Niklas Hemlin was in the last Airspeed lineup that won FAI 4-way gold medals for the U.S. delegation at the FAI Dubai Mondial 2012. His current lineup outscored NMP PCH HayaBusa at Skydive City for the first time since 2014, and there are not many other 4-way top teams in the world who could stop Airspeed from winning in October this year.

It was still neither surprising nor disappointing for NMP PCH HayaBusa to end up 50 points behind Arizona Airspeed, as strange as it may sound. The Belgians told the NSL News and the audience earlier that they did not expect to be able and challenge Arizona Airspeed seriously this year.

In fact, they were quite accurate with their expectations for the Shamrock Showdown, after finishing a 10-round competition round earlier this week with a 21-point average. The 21.2 average after Round 10 at the Shamrock Showdown confirmed the training performance

The definition of the teams' starting points in the world meet season is complete. Arizona Airspeed and NMP PCH HayaBusa both took the time for NSL Live Talk after the completion of the ten rounds and provided a brief summary of their first outdoor competition experiences in 2022. There will now be a 4-week break until the next 10-round duel between the same teams at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022, this time in the 14-foot flying chamber of Aerospace in Charleroi.
