Did You Know...

... that three teams from Dallas plan to compete at Paraclete XP this weekend?

Dallas Dynasty with Kyle Hermberg at Paraclete XP Indoor 2021
posted Feb 23rd, 2022 - The Indoor Cloud League team of iFLY Dallas submitted the third complete set of six scores and videos for the first month of the new year. Kyle Hermberg's ICL team in Dallas, Texas, had finished in the top spot on the 2021 leaderboard with a new record total of 1301 ICL points for the 12 months.

The first iFLY Dallas total of 113 points for January is slightly higher than the average last year (108) and brought the 2nd place for the first month. The Hurricane Factory missed the first four months in 2021 and was back in January 2022 with the highest total of 142 points.

The iFLY Dallas ICL team was back with the three 4-way teams who posted several scores on last year's monthly leaderboards regularly. Kyle Hermberg had recruited the same three teams (Dallas Dynasty, Dallas Distraction, Dallas Valkyrie) out of his group of Indoor Cloud League participants who were regulars at the events, including his own Dallas Dynasty lineup

Dallas Dynasty won the Intermediate Class silver medals at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021 with Kyle Hermberg in the active lineup. Former Dallas 350 member Lucas King then replaced him for outdoor training and competition, as Kyle Hermberg participates only in 4-way indoor activities.

Dallas Distraction at a Texas Skydiving League competition
The indoor lineup of Dallas Dynasty won the silver medals last year after a 9-round battle with Kaos Theory XP and a bad Round 10. The same duel took place at the USPA Nationals 2021, this time with Lucas King in Kyle Hermberg's slot, and it turned into a 1-point thriller to the advantage of Kaos Theory XP.

Dallas Dynasty would still be eligible for Intermediate/AA Class medals, at the upcoming Paraclete XP indoor competition, as well as at the USPA Nationals in September this year. However, the same lineup stepped up into the AAA/Advanced Class at the meets of the Texas Skydiving League last year, even though they went back to AA/Intermediate Class competition at the national outdoor championships.

Kyle Hermberg then signed up Dallas Dynasty for the Advanced/AAA Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship this weekend, where he is back in the lineup. Lucas King will then take his slot again to get the team ready for the Advanced Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2022.

There will not be a re-match between Dallas Dynasty and Kaos Theory XP, even though both teams would now compete in the Advanced Class. The NSL News reported earlier that Kaos members Anna Brunner and Carl Kallgren were recruited by XPG4 and SDC Rhythm XP for 4-way Open Class training and competition.

Dallas Valkyrie in Indoor Cloud League action
Dallas Dynasty will still be facing opposition at the indoor event, as XPG4 member and XP8 world champion Jeana Billings will be guiding a competitive lineup, Lucky Sam, through the indoor competition.

The two other lineups of the iFLY Dallas Indoor Cloud League team, Dallas Distraction and Dallas Valkyrie, own the Beginner/A Class leaderboard for the Paraclete XP competition so far. Dallas Distraction brings in the competition experiences of three meets in the A Class of the Texas Skydiving League last year, while Dallas Valkyrie have only posted several scores and videos for the Indoor Cloud League competition since forming the team.

Tarynn Ecton, Nick Anderson and Pressly Bonner have been competing for Dallas Distraction in the three TSL meets last year, with Rajendra Sarkar on camera. Donaldo Grajeda, Mike Hedger and Weldon Herchek were filling the open 4th slot.

Nick Anderson's wife Deanna has worked her way through the Rookie Class categories at the Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas, and she has trained the A Class blocks and techniques in the past months. She is now ready for the Beginner/A Class competition and has taken the 4th slot for Dallas Distraction at Paraclete XP. There is only one obstacle left for the teams from Texas. Kyle Hermberg said he is hoping that the forecast ice storm in Dallas will not interfere with the travel plans to North Carolina...
