Did You Know...

... that all Ranch 2nd Generation members are going to their first 4-way outdoor world meet?

Joey Marshall and Chris Kuhlmann with Arizona Airspeed
posted Oct 27th, 2021 - The 4-way competitions of the USPA Nationals 2021 were completed successfully on Tuesday, even though the weather was not perfect throughout the 2-day period. The top spots on the AAA/Open Class leaderboard turned out eventually as it could be expected, and SDC Rhythm XP completed the last ten rounds of the 2020/2021 lineup in a very competitive way. In fact, the 8-point difference after Round 10 is one of the closest in the history of the Airspeed - Rhythm duels at USPA Nationals, after the Rhythm victory in 2019.

XPG4 outscored Aviatrixx by 44 points in the 4-way Women duel and will compete for the U.S. delegation at the FAI World Meet 2022 in Eloy.

Kirk Verner player-coached Lightspeed XP to the Advanced Class outdoor title. It was his third consecutive gold medal in the AAA/Advanced Class. The U.S. indoor champions after the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021, SDC RhEvolution XP, finished behind the two guest teams from Qatar in the USPA silver medal position.

AA/Intermediate Class indoor champion Kaos Theory added the outdoor title to their portfolio, after an exciting 1-point battle with Dallas Dynasty, and the Air Force Atlas lineup in the AA/Intermediate Class defeated SDC Rhebellion XP in a jump-off round for the bronze medals. The Night Fury lineup in the A/Beginners Class did the same in an extra round for the bronze medals in the new USPA category.

Jeana Billings, Michelle Karamon, Brenn Richards with XPG4
The results of the 4-way Open Class competition generated a very exciting situation for Kamuran "Sonic" Bayrasli. The former team videographer of Ranch 2nd Generation (R2G) had lost his camera slot when the team disbanded after the USPA Nationals 2019.

Joey Marshall and Chris Kuhlmann joined Arizona Airspeed in 2020, Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon launched XPG4's outdoor project. None of the four R2G members of 2019 would compete in 4-way at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020, where SDC Rhythm XP and Aviatrixx represented the United States.

Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon won their 8-way gold medals in Tanay, together with their R2G team mate of 2019, Chris Kuhlmann. However, their 4-way teams had to wait for the next USPA Nationals and qualify in their respective events.

They did exactly this at the USPA Nationals this week, and it became even better for Sonic. The current XPG4 lineup includes Brenn Richards, who was one of the original R2G members in 2015. All R2G members will now compete at a 4-way world meet for the first time. Only Sonic is going to miss the reunion. However, he will surely be in Eloy next year and watch his team compete for FAI gold medals in both events, possibly even in three, as Jeana Billings, Michelle Karamon and Chris Kuhlmann could also try to defend their new 8-way gold medals...
