Did You Know...

... that Paraclete XP scrambled for Indoor Cloud League October and November scores?

Outdoor competition in Eloy: XPG4 with Kirk Verner
posted Dec 3rd, 2020 - The Indoor Cloud League update on December 1st reported great participation at the NSL Tunnel Kicker of the ICL Midwest team. The same update mentioned that it was more difficult for Paraclete XP's ICL team to collect scores and videos due to the busy outdoor schedule for organizers Jeana Billings and Morgan Womble in October/November.

They train and compete with XPG4, the reigning U.S. indoor champions in 4-way Women. XPG4 is an outdoor team aiming at the top spot in the world with the current lineup. That's a long-term goal, and the team first has to win the next national outdoor championship before facing off with the best 4-way Women teams in the world from France (Weembi Girls) and Great Britain (NFTO).

At the same time, team members Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon are also training and competing with the U.S. national 8-way team, Airspeed XP8, and plan to win gold medals for the U.S. delegation at the FAI Mondial 2020 in Tanay next year.

Jeana Billings and Morgan Womble recently competed with their 4-way team at the NSL Cloud Mondial 2020 and then at the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships in Eloy. They still managed to collect some scores and videos for the Paraclete XP account on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboards in October and November.

Much anticipated outdoor comeback: Matt Davidson with Airspeed XP8
The indoor events in both months did not generate scores and videos for all six ICL categories, and the Paraclete XP team had to forfeit the scoring numbers for the missing sequences. However, Paraclete XP seem to be safely in 2nd place for the whole ICL year, which was heavily impacted by the corona virus crisis, as well, and does not show a realistic annual leaderboard.

XPG4 still managed to perform the AAA/AA sequences in October, and Jeana Billings also recruited a second lineup for the A/RRR sequences. November was slightly better, as the Paraclete XP team missed only a score for the R Class. Morgan Womble said that there was not enough time to recruit and train 4-way Rookies last month when her team was mostly training and competing outdoors.

However, Airspeed XP8 member Matt Davidson was available to help out wherever he was needed during his preparations for the much anticipated outdoor comeback. In fact, he had three of his 8-way team mates (Jeana Billings, Kirk Verner, Brian Krause) in the lineup that performed the AAA/AA sequences for Paraclete XP's ICL team.

The 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships in Eloy did not include 8-way competition, and the four Airspeed XP8 members joined forces for the 4-way sequences. It was no big surprise that they outscored Skydive Midwest NEXT easily in the AAA Class, while NEXT was able to tie the score of the world champions for the AA sequence.
