... that the new Skydive Midwest NEXT lineup scored for Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team?

Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team in December
posted Jan 1st, 2020 - Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team concluded the 2019 season at the December event with the special award ceremony that organizers Jessica Haugaard and Morgan Womble introduced for their participants when they joined the Indoor Cloud League in 2017.

Morgan Womble said that Matt Alarif was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2019, and Cheryl Stewart received another award for the Most Improved Participant (MIP). Paraclete also had a few new assistant coaches, and Bubba Brunson and Eric Harper both received the Coaches Awards.

She added that the December event also attracted several new participants from South Carolina. Jessica Haugaard, Morgan Womble and new ICL organizer Lauren Byrd have welcomed and introduced over 100 participants to 4-way competition in the three years that Paraclete XP has hosted Indoor Cloud League events.

Jessia Haugaard moved to the Twin City area earlier this year, and Lauren Byrd now works together with Morgan Womble to organize the Indoor Cloud League team, as the NSL News reported on December 10th. Lauren Byrd has also joined Skydive Midwest NEXT XP, who have a comeback with a new lineup in 2020.

Skydive Midwest NEXT XP 2020 lineup
SDMW NEXT XP was formed by Megan George, Crystal Prom, Matt Congdon and Chris Haslam in 2015, with Dan Kaiser and Adam Elkin on camera that year. The new team attended three meets of the Midwest Skydiving League before winning the AA/Intermediate Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2015.

Daniele Smythe replaced Crystal Prom for the 2016 season, and NEXT followed up with the gold medals in the AAA/Advanced Class at the USPA Nationals 2016, once again after collecting more competition experiences in the new category at the Midwest Skydiving League meets.

The same lineup continued in 2017 and posted a 17.3 average in 9th place of the 4-way Open Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2017.

NEXT did not come back in 2018. Chris Halsam joined Ranch 2nd Generation (R2G) and lifted his own best average to 18.8 at the USPA Nationals 2018. Daniele Smythe helped AA Class team Hands Free to bronze medals in the Intermediate Class at the same event.

Skydive Midwest NEXT XP also skipped the 2019 season before a new lineup decided to bring the team back to action.

Original NEXT members Megan George and Chris Haslam have joined forces with Lauren Byrd and Greg Oldendick and will add the team's second year in the 4-way Open Class to the team records. Greg Oldendick is a USPA Advanced Class champion by himself. He won with Savage XP and a 17.4 average at the same USPA Nationals where Chris Halsam competed with R2G and Daniele Smythe with Hands Free.

Lauren Byrd competed with Phoenix XP for the U.S. delegation at the FAI World Meet 2018, where Megan George substituted for Morgan Womble who was still recovering from an injury. They were also back together for Phoenix XP at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2019, where they won bronze medals.

Morgan Womble said that Lauren Byrd brought her new team to Paraclete XP in December, where SDMW NEXT XP performed the two Open Class sequences (AAA - AA) for their Indoor Cloud League team. NEXT tied the highscores in both categories with the Czech teams...
