Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando won the Indoor Cloud League 12+ competition for the first time?

R Class issue: Michael Beaudreau (2nd from right)
posted Apr 11th, 2018 - The Indoor Cloud League leaderboards for the month of March were both completed while the indoor events in Europe took most of the NSL News attention.

The missing scores and videos came from Northern California where the ICL teams at iFLY SF Bay and iFLY Sacramento once again battled for the dominance in the west coast area.

Both teams have been close to each other in the past, and iFY Sacramento won the 2017 competition over iFLY SF Bay by 114 points (1430 - 1316). Nevertheless, there has not been a monthly competition yet when the two NCSL teams ended up tied with their total number of points. It happened for the first time last month when both teams finished with a total of 110 points on the 12+ leaderboard.

iFLY SF Bay still ended up only with a total of 87 points, as one of the ICL competitors in the R Class lineup was not eligible for this category any longer. NCSL Director Lori Connor explained that two late cancellations impacted on the R Class lineup, and Michael Beaudreau helped out flying with Laura Reed, Lukasz Weber and Sylvain Florand. He had posted 25+ scores before in this category and had to move up.

Consistent progression: iFLY Orlando team in March
The March competition on the 12+ leaderboard was the closest one ever in the history of the Indoor Cloud League.

The Florida Skydiving League team had posted their first 12+ scores at iFLY Orlando earlier in March, as the NSL News reported on 13 March 2018. The total of 111 points was exactly one single point more compared to the numbers from Northern California, disregarding the eligibility issue for iFLY SF Bay in the R Class.

iFLY Sacramento defended the top spot on the 12+ leaderboard successfully in March, and iFLY Orlando reduced the distance by only one point. However, it was the first time that the Florida team in Orlando outscored both teams from Northern California, and the highscore in March moved iFLY Orlando up into 2nd place on the 12+ leaderboard.

Orlando's 1-point win over iFLY Sacramento was not enough to challenge the top spot seriously. However, it was probably another inspiring month for the Orlando team after three months of consistent progression (88 - 100 - 111)...
