Did You Know...

... that Paraclete XP gained 27 more points on the Indoor Cloud League 14+ leaderboard for 2017?

Paraclete XP December team
posted Jan 2nd, 2018 - It did not take too long until the Paraclete XP team had a strong response to the latest Indoor Cloud League December scores from the Hurricane Factory.

It was also not a big surprise that the U.S. team could quite easily take advantage of a weaker Czech performance for the last month of the 2017 season. However, the Hurricane Factory could afford not winning the December competition, due to a comfortable lead going into the last month of the year.

HF Bad Boys and HF Flying Circus were still able to keep up with the strong Paraclete lineups for the AAA and AA Class sequences, while the higher scores for the other four categories were posted in North Carolina. Paraclete eventually won the last duel between the two top teams on the 14+ leaderboard by 27 points.

The December leaderboard is still not complete yet, as scores from iFLY Seattle and iFLY Tampa will soon be added, as well.

Jessica Haugaard, ICL organizer for the Paraclete XP team, said that the December competition was an exciting month for her teams. She said that several medalists in the Advanced/Open Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2017 came to support the event and the other December participants.

It was especially a tight race for the highest Paraclete scores in the AAA and AA Class. There was only a 1-point difference in both categories between different Paraclete lineups for the two Open Class sequences.

Golden Knights member Jen Davidson won the AA Class race with Lauren Byrd, Jessica Haugaard and Matt Acord in her lineup.

Then she was also coaching the opposing Open Class lineup (Andrea Greening, Michelle Karamon, Morgan Womble, James Hall) who won the internal competition for the AAA Class highscore. Six of the eight AAA/AA Class competitors in last month's Parclete XP team were female 4-way competitors.

35-pointer in R Class after two point deductions
Player coaches Lauren Byrd and Matt Acord first posted their own AA Class highscore and then also guided ICL first-timers Liz Aboody and Christian Segovia to the highest score for an Indoor Cloud League sequence since Paraclete joined the Indoor Cloud League in Januar 2017.

Matt Acord had posted the first 35-pointer with player coach Morgan Womble, David and Rebecca Bramble in July 2017, and the December lineup tied the score after two point deductions.

The new Indoor Cloud League season begins with a change in the rules, which matches the maximum of two 25+ scores for the three Rookie Class categories (RRR - RR - R) and for the A Class.

The highest posted score for the same four categories is now a 25-pointer, even when teams score higher. This levels the impact of extraordinary highscores on the outcome of the team total and eventually the rankings.

Higher scores and videos will still be recognized and posted, while the leaderboard will calculate only the maximum of 25 points for the total.
