posted Aug 19th, 2017 - Teams and competitors of the Florida Skydiving League came together for the second FSL Tunnel Kicker and Indoor Cloud League competition in August on Thursday night. They formed four different lineups to take on the August sequences, while Team Simba joined the event with the complete lineup.

As usual, the participants at iFLY Tampa took on all nine sequences of the month and posted scores and videos on both ICL leaderboards.

Two different lineups for the AAA Class sequences created an interesting internal competition. Bob Byrne has been guiding and following the 4-way career of original ZEUS member Amer Kassas at Skydive City from the very beginning, as a coach and player coach.

His former 4-way student has climbed up the 4-way ladder year by year and from category to category. SDC ZEUS is still training and competing in the AA Class; however, Amer Kassas has begun this year to take on the complete AAA Class dive pool at the FSL Tunnel Kicker and Indoor Cloud League events. Last Thursday, Bob Byrne and Amer Kassas had the same team mates for both AAA Class sequences for an internal coach/student competition.

Coach and former student did not hurt each other too much with the 14+ sequence (N,21,H,10) and tied their scores (17 - 17). Coach Bob Byrne then had the upper hand for the 12+ sequence (N,6,H,3) and won by four points (17 - 13). Both 17-pointers are the current iFLY Tampa scores for the August sequences.

Bob Byrne has recently been focusing on his SCZ FurtheranZe XP project and other 4-way activities at Skydive city, while SDC ZEUS has player coach Robert Chromy in the new 2017 lineup.

Amer Kassas and Bob Byrne still have a reunion at this weekend's August meet of the Florida Skydiving League. Robert Chromy is competing with his second player coach team, Simba, and cannot take his outside center slot for ZEUS.

Bob Byrne is stepping into the same slot for ZEUS and will compete directly with and against Simba.

Simba, with Naila Novaronti from Indonesia, Fast4ward XP member Jimmy Xu and Trevor Cedar in the new lineup, competed at the Shamrock Showdown 2017 and plan to come back for the NSL Indoor and Outdoor Championship 2017 on the first December weekend.
