Did You Know...

... that iFLY SF Bay and iFLY Sacramento are separated by two points (579 - 577)?

iFLY SF Bay's ICL team on May 17th
posted Jun 12th, 2017 - The largest outdoor leaderboard of the 2017 season was created last weekend, when 44 teams from four different countries posted scores for the same competition draw, including Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP at Skydive Paraclete XP.

The Sun Path Products NSL News will soon follow up with more details of the exciting competition weekend and first catch up with the final leaderboards of the Indoor Cloud League's May competition.

The 12+ leaderboard features only US scores and videos of the three iFLY teams from Northern California and Florida. SkyVenture Montreal (Canada) and iFLY Gold Coast (Australia) did not submit any videos last month.

The competition for the top spot on the 12+ leaderboard has been a close battle between the two teams from Northern California, who have taken turns posting the highest totals for the first five months of the year. It was iFLY Sacramento's turn in May, and both ICL teams are now separated by only two points (579 - 577).

iFLY Sacramento's ICL team in May
iFLY SF Bay and iFLY Tampa tied their totals for the second consecutive time since the Florida Skydiving League group began to post scores and videos on the 12+ leaderboard, as well.

The four coaches at iFLY SF Bay (Deanna Frank, Julius, Frank, Leander van Schriek, Rob Radez) posted the highscore for the AAA Class sequence (K,21,N,5) at the last ICL event of the month on May 17th, together with the team's best AA and A scores.

Two of the three Rookie Class scores were generated by two different lineups at the beginning of the month, and the RR score was added on May 10th.

It was also the first time last month that all three ICL teams tied their scores in one category, the 19-pointers for the AA Class sequence (J,21,9) in May. iFLY Sacramento's AA Class lineup (Matt Stephens, Lori Connor, Volker Haag, Will Harris) actually completed 21 points in working time and lost two points.

Deanna Frank and Julius Frank first posted the AAA Class highscore for the month and were also in the AA Class lineup with Jessica Lee and Ethan DeLano who tied the 19-pointer from iFLY Sacramento and iFLY Tampa.

All three teams were also very close in the A Class. Only one point separated the three lineups. Former Dutch national team member Leander van Schriek guided Achal Asawa, Ray Hebert and Shawn Clark to the 15-pointer that tied iFLY Sacramento's A Class score.

Emily Bombardi, Lucia Paul, Amer Kassas and Kurt Gaebel posted the 16-pointer for iFLY Tampa's ICL team.

iFLY Sacramento's 4-way rookies (Nick Maxwell, Keith Clayton), with player coaches Matt Stephens and Nick Armstrong, eventually sealed the May deal with two highscores for the RR and R sequences, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 20 May 2017.
