posted Feb 14th, 2017 - The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on February 2nd that former Dallas 350 member Amanda Lampton has joined a new all-female team with the goal to qualify as the U.S. national team in 4-way Women.

The same story mentioned that Dallas 350 did not have any plans for the 2017 season.

The Dallas 350 situation has changed in the meantime in many ways. There are serious plans for the 2017 season, while the lineup has changed dramatically.

Only Scott Levy will come back for Dallas 350, and he has three new team mates, plus a new 350 videographer.

Former 350 member Scott Latinis has taken the position of the corporate events coordinator for Skydive Spaceland, while he is coaching multiple teams this year. He is also the player coach for the new team Interspeediate (Zach Breaux, Lacey Porter, Genifer Oliver).

Dallas 350 for the 2017 season
Scott Levy said that his original 350 team mate Lucas King will be training with an 8-way team from Dallas taking advantage of a lighter training schedule:

"He takes care of getting his two teenage daughters sent off to college. I am sure we will see plenty of him all season, and I know that he is readily available for coaching and/or jumping with anyone that wants to."

He added that 350 videographer Al Levy will still be around Skydive Spaceland Dallas this year:

"He will be doing video for both Interspeediate as well as for the 8-way team. Al Levy is a BEAST!!!!"

Former SDC Rhythm XP videographer Thad Parker will take his 350 slot behind the camera.

Scott Levy himself has teamed up with Jens Gronemeyer to commit two world class player coaches. Christy Frikken and Chris Farina will have a new partial Perris Fury reunion with the new Dallas 350 lineup.

Perris Fury in 2006
Christy Frikken was Perris Fury's outside center between 2005 and 2011, and Chris Farina joined the team in 2006 as the inside center.

Perris Fury did not come back after the 2011 season and after a year without Josh Hall who had joined Arizona Airspeed to become a 4-way world champion in 2012.

Both later joined SDC Rhythm XP, Chris Farina in 2012 and Christy Frikken a year later, when her former Fury team mate accepted his own Airspeed invitation.

Christy Frikken and Rhythm tried to catch up with Airspeed, while Chris Farina won a silver medal for the U.S. delegation in Prostejov 2014.

He continued with Airspeed until the FAI World Air Games 2015, and Christy Frikken left SDC Rhythm XP at the end of the 2015 season.

Perris Fury in 2016
Christy Frikken and Chris Farina both had no serious team commitments in 2016, and the reunion of the original Perris Fury lineup at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016 was one of the event's highlights.

Now they are both back together again in their original slots with Dallas 350. Scott Levy continues in his tail slot, and Jens Gronemeyer is the new 350 point.

Scott Levy said that Dallas 350 will be seen in training at drop zones and wind tunnels throughout the 2017 season:

"Dallas 350 is not only here to train but also to help any other teams or jumpers in any way we can."

There is a wealth of knowledge and experience with Dallas 350 now, and the team's best meet average will most likely get a significant boost too...
