Did You Know...

... that Weembi was much closer to NMP PCH HayaBusa at Flyspot than in Dubai?

NMP PCH HayaBusa at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016
posted Dec 12th, 2016 - It is very unusual for the Sun Path Products NSL News that there is NMP PCH HayaBusa footage available and not used.

As for eight other national 4-way teams at the FAI Mondial, the 2016 season was not over for the old and new Belgian outdoor world champions. The FAI Indoor World Cup was still on the meet agenda, and the Sun Path Products NSL News brought the event and HayaBusa's participation to the attention of the audience on October 13th.

The story covered the situation after Round 4 and the challenge by French team Weembi, with former HayaBusa member Roy Janssen in the lineup. The video footage of the competition was not available at the time of the update, and today's review includes the 4-way performances of both teams on the highest level in the 4-way world.

Weembi was not the only team that was able to keep up here and there with the Belgian indoor and outdoor world champions. In fact, all three French teams, including the French Weembi Girls in 4-way Women, shared some of the highscores with HayaBusa and with each other.

It was not the first time at Flyspot in Poland that Weembi challenged HayaBusa. In fact, it was exactly the same lineup that finished in 3rd place at the Clash of Champions 2015.

NMP PCH HayaBusa was better prepared in Dubai after training for the 1st FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships 2015 and winning it. This year, the Belgians came to Flyspot shortly after a tough outdoor battle with Arizona Airspeed at Skydive Chicago.

However, it was not only HayaBusa's meet schedule and less preparation for the indoor meet that brought Weembi much closer this time. The three French 4-way world champions of 2010 and Roy Janssen also performed on a higher scoring level and broke the 30-point benchmark first time, while HayaBusa finished significantly below the Clash of Champions level, partially due to a total of 12 point deductions.

HayaBusa was still one point behind Weembi after Round 8 at Flyspot, and only the meet's peak performance in Round 9 put all challengers from France back into place. All four top teams then made peace in Round 10 and shared the highscore for the last round of the meet.

Wind Games and World Challenge will be new opportunities for any HayaBusa challengers in 2017, and it would be no surprise to see Weembi coming back once again with the same lineup. France has several wind tunnels, and indoor training is much easier to organize than outdoor camps...
