... that there are four question marks in the 4-way Women power rankings for the Mondial 2016?

Question mark: Parchute Montreal Fuzion
posted Sep 6th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News introduced the field of teams in 4-way Women at the Mondial 2016 with the story on August 19th.

Recent scores at national championships and other events have allowed more accurate previews of the 4-way Open and 8-way events, and the last preview update now creates the power rankings with new scores for the teams who compete in 4-way Women.

Round 1 in all Formation Skydiving events is less than a week away, as the start of the competition at Skydive Chicago is scheduled for Monday morning. The next update of the leaderboards will come after all teams have used the same competition draw with exits from the same jump planes at the same competition site for the first time...

Question mark: Infra Red Band
There are still four teams in 4-way Women who have not posted any outdoor scores this year, including two of the top contenders: Golden Knights (United States) and Parachute Montreal Fuzion (Canada).

The virgin leaderboard has the teams still ranked in the placing order of the nations at the last world meet in Prostejov 2014, and the new teams were added at the bottom. The new power rankings now consider all 2016 results in combination with the previous 2014 placing.

NFTO just posted a 17.4 average at the UK Nationals, while there is a question mark behind Canada's team Fuzion. Neither Evolution nor Fuzion have posted any outdoor scores this year. Fuzion had finished with a 17.1 average at the World Air Games in December 2015, and NFTO's 17.4 average might not be enough to hold off the Canadians this year.

Another question mark is behind the Infra Red Band from Russia, who could also be close to bronze medal contention for Russia. Bellatrix (Australia), Les Stunts (Belgium) and No Mercy (Poland) seem to be close enough to each other for a good battle.

The last question mark is behind the German team Skymix. Janine Tillenburg and Andrea Kleinschmidt finished with a 16.7 average for AtomiX YUU at the German Nationals a few weeks ago, where their team mates Sarah Mertes and Stephanie Meyer had an 11.2 average on the AAA Class leaderboard for Skyfall.

Simple mathematics would calculate the Skymix average at 14.0 which would bring the German team right into the competition between Australia, Belgium and Poland. That's the theory, and the reality will follow next week at Skydive Chicago...
