... that Airbus finished the ten rounds in Germany with the same 12.9 average?

12.9 average after seven and after ten rounds: Airbus
posted Sep 4th, 2016 - The 8-way competition at the German Nationals 2016 was also completed successfully after ten rounds.

The Sun Path Products NSL News had covered the 8-way story of the UK Nationals 2016 on September 2nd while Airbus was on the top of the German leaderboard with a 12.9 average after Round 7.

The winner of the national championships in Germany and Germany's 8-way national team for the Mondial 2016 eventually also finished with the same 12.9 average after all ten rounds, and the scoring and placing relationship with Microclim8 remained unchanged. The British national 8-way team is traveling to Skydive Chicago with the better chances in the battle for the 4th or 5th place.

Both teams were in very similar situations in their national championships, as they had one serious opponent in their event, which was the same one as in 2015.

The Ex-Presidents had even defeated Microclim8 at last year's 8-way nationals and challenged the UK national team once again a week ago.

Airbus had the Sudwest 8-way team as their only serious challenger in the 8-way Open Class competition last week, which was a copy of the situation in 2015.

However, Airbus was the defending champion after a 9-point victory last year in an 8-round competition.

Sudwest had won and tied one round each in 2015 and won two rounds at this year's national championships, plus the tied meet opener in Round 1.

Germany at the Mondial Dubai 2012
Airbus competed with exactly the same lineup as in 2015 and slightly improved the meet average without much 8-way training.

Sudwest finished behind last year's 11.3 average with a different lineup. Roman Bodtlander, Thomas Kempl, Carsten Reese, Uwe Soppa and Henning Stumpp came back with two former Paratec-Saar 4-way members, Markus Bastuck and Dieter Schwarz, who were also in the German 8-way lineup at the Mondial 2012. There they had competed together with three Airbus members in 8-way while also representing Germany in 4-way. Petra Barenfänger completed the Sudwest lineup, and Erik Lorenz was filming the team.

Now it is time for Airbus to get ready for the next 8-way battle. This time, the five Airbus members have the same double duties that Paratec-Saar had in Dubai 2012.
