Did You Know...

... that FAI Mondial 2016 judge Rogier Carper sharpened his skills at the Dutch Nationals 2016?

Pangaea with substitute Rogier Carper
posted Aug 24th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned on August 21st that six current and one former national teams posted scores on the same August 20 leaderboard last weekend.

In addition, three other Mondial 2016 teams (Satori XL and H2O in 4-way Open and NFTO in 4-way Women) competed at the UK Nationals with a separate competition draw.

The Dutch Nationals 2016 had the most international AAA Class field at Skydive Teuge, where a total of 16 teams competed for the national championship titles in all four NSL categories.

It was the biggest national championship event of the Netherlands since 2008. The Tomscat Trophy has been the major event in the Netherlands for many years, and the new record participation last week at the Dutch Nationals 2016 has changed this balance for the first time in history.

Ten teams had competed at the Tomscat Trophy 2016.

All 16 teams completed the scheduled ten rounds, while all other skydiving events ran at the same time in Teuge (Accuracy, Speed Skydiving, Speedstar, Canopy Piloting, Freeflying).

Pangaea (Denmark), M4trix (Netherlands) and No Mercy (Poland) turned the Dutch national championships into a last international test before the upcoming Mondial 2016.

The Dutch national 4-way Open Class team of 2014, Cool Runnings, also joined the international AAA Class competition.

Pangaea won the meet without sick team member Kjetil Nordin.

The Danish national team was already looking for a replacement while team member Flemming Borup Andersen was coaching No Mercy in Teuge on the previous weekend.

Pangaea - M4trix 8-way combination
Flemming Borup Andersen found former M8trix member Rogier Carper in the Netherlands, ready to take the tail slot that he knew from his 4-way days with Tiramisu, Punky Guppy and NRG. Pangaea's tail Hans Oksen used the meet for cross training in his other slot of the rear piece.

M4trix competed for the first time with the new lineup and new slots. Former point Leon van Leeuwen switched to outside center when Leander van Schriek left the team. Mechie Voermans moved from tail to point, and new member Annelies Ibens-Hasewinkel joined in the tail slot. Only inside center Jaap Keuter retained his slot.

M4trix and Pangaea also joined forces in 8-way after the completion of the 4-way competition and completed five rounds for a 9.4 average. Both teams now have to separate again from Rogier Carper, who will still be connected at the Mondial 2016. He is judging the Formation Skydiving competition at Skydive Chicago...
