Did You Know...

... that 4shades of Grey and BOOBs had an ICL 1-point battle at iFLY Houston?

4shades of Grey...
posted Aug 2nd, 2016 - iFLY Houston's Indoor Cloud League team came together a second time last month after posting the first July scores on July 19th.

Katrina and Devon Shows had four lineups on July 26th who tried to challenge the previously posted scores. 4shades of Grey had once again player coach Scott Latinis in the lineup and improved the 14-pointer of July 14th by four points.

However, it was not enough to hold off Babes On Our Bellies (BOOBs) with the same player coach. Erika Barczak, Debbie Hoffpauir and Amber Taylor outscored Chad Hall, Randy Morgan and Billy Whitaker by a point and posted the A Class highscore for iFLY Houston in July. Both teams also tried to challenge Lite Red's 16-pointer in the AA Class and ended up two points short.

Blobfish, with 4-way junior Kiya Glave and father Adrian in the lineup, were able to tie the previously posted 15-pointer for the RRR Class sequence. Only the 19-pointer in the A Class on July 26th eventually made it to the July leaderboard for iFLY Houston.

Spaceland Lite member Katrina Shows, who was in the Blobfish lineup last week, said that her team was excited turning a 3-way Donut, which came with Block 2 (Side Body Donut - Side Flaked Donut) for the 14+foot July sequence. Blobfish had missed iFLY Houston's first ICL event on July 14th.

Katrina Shows also reported that two experienced outdoor skydivers have recently joined the ICL activities. Stephanie Grover and Kevin Grover have not been in freefall in a while and recently started flying at iFLY Houston: "They had a blast flying the ICL in the tunnel."

BOOBs and 4shades of Grey have recently been training for the USPA Nationals 2016 and had skipped the earlier event, as well. Katrina Shows said that both teams came back with impressive performances, and they gave each other great competition with a 1-point battle for the two sequences (A - RRR).

Helaine Rumaner assisted Katrina Shows to run the ICL event on July 26th. She is working on keeping her judging skills up-to-date in preparation for the IBA competition in September at iFLY Woodlands in Houston where she will be looking at many 4-way indoor videos again.

It's a 10-round competition where all Indoor Cloud League teams and competitors from Texas can compete in a live meet environment. The four traditional NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - Rookie) will be offered, and the event is open for all 4-way teams.
