Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando added 52 points to the Indoor Cloud League April account?

Cathy Luo - James Hall - Leslie Eggenberger - Sebastian Jimenez
posted Apr 22nd, 2016 - Bad weather did not allow teams and skydivers in Florida to get in the air last weekend for the first FSL outdoor competition this year, however, the weather was not in the way of the next Indoor Cloud League event at iFLY Orlando last night.

Three lineups of Florida 4-way competitors joined again trying to add points to iFLY Orlando's account for April. The additional 52 points brought the April total to 102, which is still far behind the current leader, iFLY Houston.

Two lineups took on the AAA - AA - A Class sequences and had an internal competition for the spots on the ICL leaderboard. Hal Spence, James Hall, Sebastian Jimenez and Kurt Gaebel won the FSL mini meet and added the 16-pointer for the AAA Class sequence to the April account.

The same lineup matched the 19-pointer that Z-Hills PreciZion had posted earlier this month and had to leave the AA Class honors with the team from Skydive City. The 26-pointer for the A Class sequence could neither be used for the April account, as the same lineup can only post scores in two neighboring categories, according to the ICL rules.

Leslie Eggenberger, Cathy Luo, James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez scored 22 points in the same category and were eligible for the A Class score on the leaderboard after taking on the AAA/AA Class sequences, as well.

It was the first time for Leslie Eggenberger and Cathy Luo to perform the AAA Class blocks this month. Leslie Eggenberger was also back for the first time after her ankle injury that had put her on the Blocksmith's bench at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016.

Bob Byrne, Hal Spence, Mark Messersmith and Lee Perera had no other Rookie Class lineup to compete with at iFLY Orlando last night. However, they were trying to challenge the previous scores for the RR and R Class sequences, which they could not improve.

However, the RRR Class sequence was still without a score by iFLY Orlando, and the same

lineup added 14 points for this category to the total for April.

Florida's Indoor Cloud League team will get together one more time next week for the April sequences, and then the next attempt of launching the 2016 outdoor season will follow on May 21st. Most of the Indoor Cloud League competitors will jump from the planes, as well...
