posted Feb 10th, 2016 - It is time to get excited about the annual 4-way Spring Tour, which traditionally brings teams to Raeford (Paraclete XP Indoor Championship)- DeLand (Shamrock Showdown) - Bedford (World Challenge) within a few weeks.

This year, there are 2-week breaks between the three events. Paraclete launches the Spring Tour 2016 on the March 5/6 weekend, followed by the Shamrock on March 18-20. The World Challenge's first meet day is scheduled for April Fool's Day.

There have always been a few teams who attend all three events. SDC Rhythm XP, Golden Knights and Dubai Asaar Gold completed the Spring Tour 2015. Rhythm was very successful last year and came back from Bedford after the third 2nd place. Only Arizona Airspeed (Paraclete - Shamrock) and NMP PCH Hayabusa (World Challenge) outscored Rhythm's 2015 lineup. The team then added another 2nd place at the USPA Nationals 2015.

The Golden Knights had the same travel agenda and started with two 3rd places in Raeford and DeLand. Then they won the 4-way Women competition at the World Challenge 2015 and placed 5th on the combined AAA Class leaderboard in Bedford. Craig Girard also traveled to all three locations with his Dubai Asaar Gold team.

The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship offers 4-way competition in three of the four NSL categories (AAA - Open, AA - Intermediate, Rookie), 4-way VFS, 8-way Open and Intermediate. There is no separate 4-way Women category in Raeford, and the Shamrock Showdown has only one AAA Class leaderboard.

The World Challenge 2016 includes once again all four NSL 4-way categories (AAA - AA - A - Rookie) and has a separate leaderboard in 4-way Women.

The World Challenge was launched by Paul Mayer in 2006 and attracted 12 teams at the inaugural event. He has improved his facilities year by year by adding new entertainment and recreational options, while each year brought new record numbers of teams to Bedford. This year he has to beat his own standing 2015 record of 89 teams.

Paul Mayer has also brought new media ideas to his event every year. The World Challenge 2015 included a complete online TV coverage with a professional studio. He said that he once again has a new idea how to present this year's event to the online audience.
