Did You Know...

... that Arizona Airspeed has lost only one outdoor meet against NMP PCH Hayabusa since 2007?

Reigning 4-way indoor and outdoor world champions: NMP PCH Hayabusa
posted Dec 3rd, 2015 - The Sun Path Products NSL News published a video clip with a live NMP PCH Hayabusa NSL Talk on November 28th. The Hayabusa members made it very clear how much respect they still have for their main opponent at this point in time, Arizona Airspeed.

The new set of competition videos, provided by InTime and Inflight Dubai, are showing how it came to the Belgian 8-point victory at the Clash of Champions 2015. The extended leaderboard adds the point deduction to the numbers, which help to create a more accurate picture of the current situation between the two best 4-way teams in the world.

Disregarding the point deductions for infringements, the difference between the two teams would be reduced from eight to six points, which is not that much of a margin after a total of 319 points within working time and before penalties. It is no surprise that Hayabusa is still on high Airspeed alert.

An indoor competition always generates higher scores for all teams, and there is no doubt that the point difference between Airspeed and Hayabusa would be even smaller at an outdoor competition.

The next showdown between both teams is coming up next week at the World Air Games 2015 where the Top 10 teams of the last World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Prostejov 2014 will come back together on invitation by FAI/IPC and Skydive Dubai.

The current NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Arizona Airspeed lineups have not met each other directly yet at any outdoor competitions. Airspeed's previous lineup won the FAI gold medals in 2012 by one point in Dubai, and Hayabusa took them away with a 9-point victory in Protejov 2014.

Both teams came back with new team members this year. Niklas Hemlin replaced Mark Kirkby for Airspeed, and Jeroen "Bob" Nollet became Hayabusa's new Tail for Roy Janssen.

Airspeed and Hayabusa had two indoor battles this year, first at the Wind Games 2015 and then last week at the Clash of Champions. The reigning 4-way world champions from Belgium won both indoor meets with their new member and will try to remain undefeated next week at the World Air Games.

Arizona Airspeed has lost only one outdoor competition against NMP PCH Hayabusa in the meet history between the two teams since 2007. It was last year's FAI World Meet in Prostejov where Hayabusa turned the team's indoor success into the first outdoor victory. Now the new lineup has to defend the outdoor top spot next week at the World Air Games...
