Did You Know...

... that NeVa FSZ Saar's 8-year recipe is great team dynamics?

NeVa FSZ Saar lineup in 2007
posted Sep 3rd, 2015 - Today's live update from the German Nationals 2015 features one of the teams that did not finish in the medal rankings. In fact, Neva FSZ Saar, one of the several home teams in Saarlouis, finished in the most undesirable position - right behind the medal winners.

It did not bother the NeVa members at all though, as they did not expect to be in the medal positions. A 5th place was the team's best finish at national championships so far, which happened at last year's event, after two 6th places in 2012 and 2013.

This year's 4th place is the best result and also came together with the best meet average in team history - after a technically very challenging 10-round meet. Six of the ten sequences brought slot switchers to the 4-way AAA Class teams.

This year's NeVa top performance is still not what's so special about the team. NeVa has the longest standing 4-way lineup in Germany, after the team project was launched ten years ago. The four active members of the current lineup (Martin Petry, Uwe Rospert, Christian Schlichting, Rolf Bormet) have trained and competed together for eight years.

Eric Lorenz is the new NeVa videographer. He was filming the Usual Suspects until the team discontinued, and he was available for a new commitment.

The Sun Path Products NSL News was interested in what glued the team together for so long. The answer to this question came even before the NeVa members took the time for a live NSL Talk. Coaches and other competitors who knew the team well all agreed that the team dynamics were simply extraordinary. The two video clips show the team after Round 8 and before Round 9 and then in the live interview.
