Did You Know...

... that former Airspeed member Neal Houston visited the place of the original event?

27.8 average for Arizona Airspeed
posted Mar 8th, 2015 - The Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015 came to a great end after a false start.

Two days of bad weather had kept the teams on the ground on Friday and Saturday. Sunday was a completely different story when clear skies and perfect conditions welcomed the teams, who were boarding the Twin Otter at 7:30 AM.

Six rounds were completed at 1 PM, and there would have been enough time to add the four missing rounds. However, the travel schedule of the visiting teams was based on the posted event schedule, which included the award ceremony before 3 PM. It was still a happy ending for all teams, who concluded the opportunity of setting the outdoor starting line for the 2015 season.

17.7 average for SDC Core
VFS 4-way team SDC Core completed their six rounds together with the other 4-way teams, and the event judges (Jim Rees - Chris Talbert - Dirk Venter) switched from traditional 4-way to vertical 4-way once in every round.

SDC Core is comprised of former Dubai Nexus members Jason Russell and Stephanie Strange, and new team members Dusty Hanks, Ryan Risberg and Jake Jensen. This lineup has been training since the end of January 2015 and completed approximately 80 skydives and eight hours of tunnel time before the Paraclete XP Outoor Championship 2015. Nexus competed in their first competition together at the Paraclete XP Indoor meet last weekend, where they finished in 1st place.

The team's current goal is to win the USPA Nationals 2015, which selects the US national team for the World Meet 2016. The Core members make no secret that their goal is the 1st place at the World Meet 2016, and all team members are actually committed to the project through the World Meet 2018.

Airspeed Vertical and DeLand Majik at the Shamrock Showdown 2002
The Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up soon with all meet videos of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015, and SDC Core launches the aftermath with all six VFS 4-way rounds.

There was still a new NSL Reality TV opportunity that had higher priority after the meet was concluded. Several world champions of the earlier days came to Skydive DeLand to witness the world class competition. Former Airspeed member Neal Houston and Dawn English joined Craig Girard and Chris Talbert for a new and very entertaining NSL Talk session.

Neal Houston had his part in creating the event, which was launched as the Shamrock Showdown and then turned into the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship. He explained how it all happened in 2002...
