Did You Know...

... that two Czech 4-way teams have attended ten meets this year?

Re-naming: Skydive Arena - Hurricane Factory Area 270
posted Sep 26th, 2014 - Teams and competitors in the Czech Republic have quickly transitioned from the 2014 outdoor season to the new indoor winter season.

The FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 in Prostejov was the last relevant outdoor competition in the Czech Republic, and the first indoor competition took place only three weeks later.

In fact, it was the first national indoor championships that initiated the new Czech indoor season.

The Skydive Arena, which is in the middle of a name change to "Hurricane Factory Area 270", hosted the competition that included three traditional Formation Skydiving categories (AAA - A - Rookie) and a VFS 2-way competition with three categories.

Most od the names of the teams on the indoor leaderboard are the same that have appeared at earlier indoor and outdoor events. However, there are also teams who are new to the regular leaderboards, even though they have already collected scoring points for the Czech Indoor Cloud League account.

The two Rookie Class teams (Flying Circus, Kamikadze) and A Class team AccordX have been a part of Jan Klapka's Indoor Cloud League events at the Skydive Arena, and the Czech indoor group is currently once again on the top of the ICL September leaderboard.

The two Czech national teams of 2014, Bad Boys and CZ Ladies, both contributed to the total of currently 118 ICL points for the Skydive Arena, together with Flying Circus, Kamikadze and AccordX.

The Bad Boys were also back together with their original lineup this week, including Center Inside Vaclav Prokes, who was down for a while due to a back injury. The reunion was very successful, as the Bad Boys posted a 20+ indoor average for the first time in team history.

The Bad Boys are also by far the busiest competition team of the 2014 season worldwide. The team page shows a total of ten meets this year, six indoor and four outdoor events. Unfortunately, the Bad Boys missed the biggest event of the year, the world meet on home turf, due to Vaclav Prokes' injury.

Actually, the Bad Boys are tied in 1st place with the CZ Ladies as of participation at 4-way competition events, and the indoor season will bring additional meets this year. The Czech teams will probably set a new world record in number of attended meets...
