Did You Know...

... that Florida's Rookie Class lineups set the foundation for iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League top spot in May?

Two additional points: iFLY Orlando's Rookie AAA Class lineup
posted Jun 1st, 2014 - Florida Skydiving League competitors and participants of the NSL Tunnel Kicker went back to iFLY Orlando on May 28th trying to improve the scores for the Indoor Cloud League May sequences.

iFLY Orlando was in 2nd place in May behind the Skydive Arena with the teams and competitors from the Czech Republic. It was a successful effort for the Florida group, as three lineups (AA - Rookie AAA - Rookie AA) collected enough points to take the top spot on the leaderboard away from the Skydive Arena.

The Rookie AAA Class lineup (Gilles Dutrisac, Michael Patterson, Jairo Garcia, Seth Claytor) added two points to the iFLY Orlando account with the new 20-pointer. Three Zeus members (James Hopkins, Amer Kassas, Steve Hubbard) and Jim Prochaska had posted an 18-pointer for Florida before the new score of last week's event at iFLY Orlando.

Six additional points: iFLY Orlando's AA Class lineup
Rookie Class team DeLand Aurai also contributed by adding four points in the Rookie AA Class. Aurai had scored 21 points in the Rookie A Class in March and would still be eligible for the same category. However, the 29 points were good enough, and Aurai focused on the Rookie AA Class sequence instead.

Aurai member Lisa Hickey was not available, and Adam Money took her Tail slot. He had attended several previous FSL Tunnel Kickers before and helped to improve Florida's total by four points.

The 23-pointer after a point deduction was also the current highscore in the Rookie AA Class that Florida had shared with Northern California's lineup in this category until last week.

Four additional points: DeLand Aurai
Florida's AA Class lineup (Gilles Dutrisac, Sebastian Jimenez, Hal Spence, Jim Prochaska) was probably the most valuable one last week. They still ended up two points (26 - 24) behind the Bad Boyz from the Czech Republic. However, the additional six points, after the previous 18 points in this category, eventually won the 1st place for now.

DeLand Aurai's additional four points and the other 2-point contribution by Florida's Rookie AAA Class lineup would have brought iFLY Orlando's account to a total of 129 points - one single point behind the Skydive Arena. The additional six points by Florida's AA Class lineup then pushed iFLY Orlando to the top position.

It's not over yet though. The Northwest Skydiving League group at iFLY Seattle is still processing footage of the May sequences and will submit videos and scores very soon. iFLY Seattle had outscored iFLY Orlando clearly in April and could still change the final rankings for May...
