Did You Know...

... that NMP-PCH Hayabusa came to Dubai with little training?

Dubai 8way takeover with Craig Girard after Round 2
posted Nov 30th, 2013 - Dubai Asaar's takeover of the 8way leaderboard in Round 2 was not a random act. In fact, the young team copied the success in Round 3 and gains confidence round by round. It's a 3-point lead after Round 3, while Monaco and Tanay battle for the 2nd place at the moment.

Coach Craig Girard is back in the active lineup after being only on the coaching end at the World Cup and the USPA Nationals this year. He had to step in when a team member tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident right after coming back home from the trip to Skydive Chicago.

Craig Girard was not surprised by the scores yesterday and today. He said that his 8way team has currently been performing on the top level of its potential. The meet average is significantly higher than ever before after Round 4.

Canopy Piloting water pond in Dubai
The 4way teams actually had a day off. Only Gamma Ray from Germany had to visit the dropzone to get Round 2 out of the way. Gamma Ray had a re-jump after Round 1 due to a camera failure and did not complete Round 2 yesterday.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa coach Gary Smith ordered the Belgian top team to the dropzone for jump preparations at noon. There is not much competition pressure for Hayabusa, even though Russia's Barkli 4way lineup delivered an impressive 23-pointer in Round 2. Arizona Airspeed and France are watching the Hayabusa performance from the distance.

Gary Smith was watching Canopy Piloting when he had a few minutes to talk to the Sun Path Products NSL News. He explained that Hayabusa could not train as much as was planned, as Tail Roy Janssen was down for a month due to an injury. The Belgians tried to make up with several days of training prior to the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013.
