Did You Know...

... that France has four 8way lineups at Paraclete XP?

Martial Ferre and Damien Sorlin at Paraclete XP in 2011
posted Feb 2nd, 2013 - The 8way competition of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2013 is now running. The field of 11 teams includes four 8way lineups from France and the new Paraclete XP 8way team.

XP8 is not competing with the complete lineup, as Shannon Pilcher is not available this weekend. Alternate Tim D'Annunzio is filling in and competes together with his son John.

Martial Ferre and his brother-in-law Damien Sorlin have been bringing 8way teams to the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship ever since the 8way tunnel competition was included in 2011.

Two French 8way teams competed in 2011 and three in 2012. This time, the two French 8way world champions of 2010 are at Paraclete XP with four French lineups.

Martial Ferre's sister and Damien Sorlin's wife Celine is in DD's Team lineup.

Martial Ferre and Damien Sorlin are the player coaches for Bonjour Blue Sky with almost exactly the same lineup as last year.

Bonjour Blue Sky is currently in 3rd place. One of the team members is Christine Malnis who was recently selected for the new French lineup in the female 4way category.

The other French team in 2nd place, Maubeuge Espoirs, consists of young members of last year's 4way B-Teams. Dennis Praet and Martial Ferre have been preparing them for their new 8way jobs. Dennis Praet estimated the average age of the team members at 23.

This French lineup also includes Damien Gouriou and Pierre-Emmanuel Balageas who were recently selected to train and compete with Mathieu Bernier and Julien Degen in the new French national 4way team.

The French 8way direction has not been finally decided upon. National manager Jeremie Rollett is still considering all options. Fact is only that the Dubai lineup will compete for France at the World Cup 2013.
