posted Jul 14th, 2012 - The first scores of this international meet weekend are coming from France where 35 teams compete at the second leg of the Coupe de France in Maubeuge. 15 teams are posting scores in the AAA Class and 20 in the AA Class, where the competition draw is now synchronized with the international NSL Network for the first year.

The three national teams who will represent France this year at the World Meet 2012 in Dubai, Aerodyne Aerokart and Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders in 4way, and Aerodyne Maubeuge in 8way, are not in Maubeuge for the competition. Only 8way world champion Bruno Perin fills an open slot for Amethys Maubeuge and helps the team to keep up with the B-Teams, and the top of the leaderboard is loaded with the best of the rest in France.

The three national B-Teams, Maubeuge NPC1, NPC2 and NPC 3, are in the first three places after Round 2. They all attend their first outdoor competition this year after two indoor meets in February (Aerokart Indoor Championship) and April (World Challenge). They will soon follow up at the national championships and the World Cup in August.

The Air Force team from Nice and Monaco Rebootizer Aerial continued with their usual battle for the top spot of the rest of the teams in the first two rounds. They are facing additional serious competition by three other teams this weekend in Maubeuge.

Monaco Rebootizer Aerial and Amethys Maubeuge both attend their fourth meet this year and have tied Arizona Airspeed, SDC Rhythm XP and Thunder as the busiest competitors so far.

Invidea Maubeuge has taken the lead once again in the AA Class. Invidea won the competition at the first Coupe de France event, as well. The French AA Class teams now have to wait until the scores from the other meets may shake up their leaderboard or not. The teams from the United Kingdom are competing this weekend, and Cosmic Debris from the Northern Plains Skydiving League also has the potential to interfere with the French AA Class leaderboard.
