Did You Know...

... that Satori had a good double header despite difficult circumstances?

Casual Satori debriefing at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012
posted May 1st, 2012 - The other team that won $800 cash in the Shamrock Showdown Skins Game of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 was another visitor from Europe, UK's national 4way team Satori.

The $800 was a deserved consolation for the unfortunate Satori circumstances. Tail Aaron Faith could not get his US visa timely. Julia Foxwell, John McIver, Ian Hodgkinson and Satori videographer Dave Head decided to make the trip to DeLand anyway and found XL member Steve Hamilton to fill the slot for the outdoor competition.

Satori was also one of the eleven teams that competed at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 and the World Challenge 2012 both. It was a successful double header for UK's national team, not only because of the $800 cash at the Paraclete meet.

Travel story telling by Aaron Faith in Bedford...
Satori was one of the teams on the top of the meet average improvement list (19.0 - 23.8 = 4.8) between those two events. Only Dubai Asaar Gold, with Craig Girard in the lineup, increased the average (12.3 - 17.5 = 5.2) even more sigificantly. The average improvement (3.6) of all eleven teams between DeLand and Bedford also indicates the difference between indoor and outdoor competition in general.

Satori's better indoor scores were not a big surprise and somehow expected, as the team is well tunnel trained with original Tail Aaron Faith. Satori had first finished 11 points behind Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and 26 points behind Thunder in DeLand. The UK team was then ahead of the French ladies and only three points behind Thunder after the ten rounds in Bedford.

The two leaderboards are showing several other changes, which speak for the highly competitive situation all across the field

Complete Satori lineup at the World Challenge 2012
The scramble on the top of the leaderboard between Arizona Airspeed, NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Aerodyne Aerokart was covered earlier. The only surprise there was that France placed better at the indoor event. The team ususally prefers outdoor competition. Main reason was probably the challenging travel situation at the Paraclete XP Outoor Championship. Airspeed is still strong and undefeated at outdoor competition and gets used to Hayabusa's stellar indoor performance.

SDC Rhythm XP, Thunder and Satori were much closer to each other in Bedford (9-point separation) compared to DeLand (34-point separation). However, the ranking order was unchanged between those three teams. Satori still had to work hard in Bedford to leave the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders behind this time.

Bodyflight Voluntas, Denmark's national 4way team, was one of the most improved teams in Bedford (14.9 - 19.7 = 4.8) and moved much closer to Polaris. It was the first time that a female lineup was the best team from Scandinavia at any 4way competition. It was only a 2-country situation at both events, and things may change when Sweden and Finland come back to this year's meets with some teams.
