Did You Know...

... that the French 7-point damage in Round 1 is a mystery to many observers at the World Challenge 2012?

Three judging panels at work in Bedford
posted Apr 6th, 2012 - It is a mystery so far what happened to Aerodyne Aerokart, the French national 4way team, in Round 1. The scoreboard shows a 7-point deduction, which means that the team completed 33 points within working time, one less than Arizona Airspeed and NMP-PCH Hayabusa.

The NSL News asked Hayabusa members and French competitors for any information without much success. French national coach Marin Ferre was stunned too and did not know what happened. He saw the marks on the scoresheet and did not know what was different compared to the performances of the other top teams.

He will have to take a closer look at the videos and try to find out what the judges did not like. The NSL News audience has the opportunity to evaluate the French Round 1 which was a part of the earlier video clip. The judging videos will follow later and may show more of what happened to France in Round 1. Fact is that Aerodyne Aerokart fell far behind in a round that wasn't very fast. It will be extremely difficult to find a way back to the top of the leaderboard if the score for Round 1 will stand.

Living up to high expectations: ISB Air Remscheid
The NSL News has moved on in the meantime and recorded the performances in Round 2. This time, all teams in the female 4way category are a part of the new clip.

Perris Wicked had a very strong Round 1. Christie Blomster stood her ground in the Tail slot and tied the scores of the two other top teams. Only Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders scored higher. The German team ISB Air Remscheid lived up to the expectations and challenges the top of the leaderboard at the team's comeback after a 1-year break.

The new video clip introduces the complete field in the female 4way category. The 4way lineup of the Brit Chicks and the French B-Team both impressed the audience in Round 1 by keeping up with Polaris from Norway. French national coach Marin Ferre has prepared the new B-Team very well, as it perfoms cleanly and well prepared. The team members are backing up the national team for any potential personnel changes in the future.
