Did You Know...

... that Airspeed Odyssey peaked again at the right time?

Airspeed Odyssey peaks and wins again
posted Mar 30th, 2008 - All scores are posted, there was no jump-off, and the World Challenge 2008 is over.

Airspeed Odyssey peaked once again at the right time and delivered flawlessly in the most important round of the meet, when the challenge was once again at the highest point. Just like in the first jump this morning, Airspeed came up with a performance level that was simply higher than any others.

The situation was very similar, as XL had reduced the Airspeed lead to nothing in Round 9. Airspeed was under the same pressure as on Saturday evening and on Sunday morning. The meet experience and mental strength did the job at the right time, as so many times before.

Final showdown on CamScore DZ-TV
The NSL-TV video of the last round indicated already what was confirmed later on the CamScore screen and on the official scoreboard. The video of Airspeed's Round 10 can be viewed by clicking here.

XL had a great round, as well, as the team's 24-pointer was still two points higher than any other team's score in the same round - except Airspeed. The NSL-TV video of XL's Round 10 can also be viewed by clicking here.

Bodyflight Bedford and CamScore presented the drama to the crowd in the viewing hangar according to the very high standards. It was an exciting live atmosphere when the last two videos were shown on the CamScore screen, with all the top teams watching it without knowing the outcome. The NSL-TV video of the live showdown at Bodyflight Bedford can be viewed by clicking here.

CamScore's Andrew Mansfield split the CamScore screen in half, at the time when Perris Fury and Arcteryx were racing for the third place, as well as when Airspeed Odyssey and XL went for the £5,000. The rest is already history and can be seen at the leaderboard and on NSL-TV.
