Did you know that the balance between Niklas Hemlin and NMP PCH HayaBusa began to shift in 2020? posted: Dec 30th, 2025 The next major twist in the history—and in the special relationship between Niklas Hemlin and NMP PCH HayaBusa—came after Arizona Airspeed’s 4-way world champion from Dubai 2012 had to watch SDC Rhythm XP represent the United States at FAI Tanay 2021.
Dennis Praet had joined David Grauwels and Andy Grauwels on their own NSL Profiles after winning three consecutive sets of gold medals between 2014 and 2018. In contrast, Niklas Hemlin did not even compete in 4-way at Tanay. Instead, he could only observe the showdown between SDC Rhythm XP and NMP PCH HayaBusa while competing with Airspeed... (more)
Did you know that iFLY Dallas and Hurricane Factory close in on the ICL 2025 showdown? posted: Dec 29th, 2025 The NSL News reported on December 1st that the Indoor Cloud League was building toward an exciting year-end battle. At the end of October, the leaderboard showed a narrow nine-point gap (1236–1227) after Kyle Hermberg’s iFLY Dallas team claimed its fourth consecutive monthly victory (July–October) over Jan Klapka’s Hurricane Factory Prague team.
Jan Klapka and his Czech four-way junior and senior teams were under significant pressure to restore their monthly scoring to the level seen in the first half of the year. They responded at the perfect time, posting a total of 126 points in November—the... (more)
Did you know that Niklas Hemlin and NMP PCH HayaBusa reached a new peak in their rivalry in 2018? posted: Dec 28th, 2025 The next stage of Niklas Hemlin’s special relationship with NMP PCH HayaBusa unfolded two years after Ottawa 2016. Together with his new teammate Mikhail Markine, who had replaced Chris Farina at the end of the 2015 season, he rebuilt the team over the following two years.
Niklas Hemlin had moved from inside center, a position he held in the world-championship lineup of 2012, to point in 2015. This marked Mikhail Markine’s first Airspeed slot, and in 2016 Niklas Hemlin returned to inside center.
Neither experiment proved successful. Niklas Hemlin at point in 2015 and Mikhail Markine at... (more)
Did you know that Niklas Hemlin has a special relationship with NMP PCH HayaBusa? posted: Dec 26th, 2025 Golden Knights coach Niklas Hemlin has a long and special history with NMP PCH HayaBusa. That connection continues today, even though he is no longer actively competing outdoors. Niklas Hemlin previously won two consecutive outdoor world championship titles with the former Arizona Airspeed lineup (Mikhail Markine, Joey Marshall, Chris Kuhlmann, Brendan Haddon, with Alex Swindle on camera) before he started working closely with the Golden Knights.
It is no secret that the U.S. Army’s 4-way team is aiming for FAI gold medals at the next outdoor world championship in October 2026. The Golden... (more)
Did you know that Jesse Stahler and Sean Sweeney each claim four FAI gold medals? posted: Dec 23rd, 2025 When Jesse Stahler’s newly published NSL Profile went online, it did not take long for the audience to notice that something important was missing. One of the former Golden Knights team captains soon alerted NSL News that a major achievement had been omitted from Stahler’s competitive record.
The oversight became apparent while reviewing the career of Sean Sweeney, one of the more recent Golden Knights captains whose accomplishments have often gone underreported. Sweeney succeeded Brian Krause as team captain and selected Jesse Stahler for the lineup that would later win gold at the FAI... (more)
Did you know that Jesse Stahler breaks the streak of female NSL Profiles? posted: Dec 22nd, 2025 The addition of more female formation skydiving competitors to the NSL Profiles is briefly set aside to highlight a remarkable career story—one that is long overdue and far from reaching its conclusion. Jesse Stahler is the third Golden Knights team captain to receive an NSL Profile. It comes as little surprise that a captain of the U.S. Army teams stands out in the competitive arena, as FAI gold medals in 8-way competition have been almost consistently secured for extended periods since 1985. However, competitive talent, success, and medal counts alone do not fully explain this distinction.
