News Article Did you know that Aethers and Nephtys join forces again for 8-way?
posted: Feb 17th, 2026 French national coach Mathieu Bernier delivered surprising news to the teams traveling to the Indoor World Cup at Weembi Lille in April. The event includes an 8-way competition in the 16-foot flying chamber — only the third time in formation skydiving history that the FAI/ISC has included the 8-way event at an indoor World Championship or World Cup (2019, 2025, 2026). The U.S. national 8-way team XP8 won all three previous events, each time with a different lineup and against different opponents. Only Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner were members of all three winning lineups. The Indoor World... (more)

posted: Feb 16th, 2026 The NSL News field trip to Paraclete XP earlier this month highlighted the coaching work of Gary Smith with NMP PCH HayaBusa and SDC Rhythm XP. However, the primary focus of the visit was the introduction of the new Paraclete XP8 lineup and the indoor training of the Golden Knights. Coincidentally, the Sour Patch Kidz XP were training at the same time. Paraclete XP’s “Youth League” project supports the youngest generation of indoor flyers across all disciplines, including 4-way. In fact, the Sour Patch Kidz XP made their competition debut at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025. Two... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Aethers concluded their outdoor training in DeLand with NSL Live Talk?
posted: Feb 15th, 2026 It was only two weeks ago that the French Aethers made their indoor statement at the Wind Games 2026. However, the event did not mark the end of their indoor season, as the team is aiming to secure another victory at the Indoor World Cup in April. Despite their continued indoor ambitions, their main focus remains the Outdoor World Championship in October. The Aethers are determined to maintain their position at the top of the 4-way world rankings throughout the entire year. With this objective in mind, they scheduled their first outdoor training camp for last week—two months before the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Chris Talbert was a missing piece in the puzzle?
posted: Feb 13th, 2026 The recent NSL News story of the Golden Knights included a review and comparison with the U.S. Army’s 4-way lineup from 2001 to 2003, including 8-way world champions of 1995 and 1997, John Hoover and Eric Heinsheimer. The update also mentioned that their teammate Kurt Isenbarger later added his name to the William H. Ottley Sword for 8-way world champions — also known as the 8-way Excalibur — in Dubai 2012. Former 8-way team captain Sean Sweeney reminded the NSL News that the fourth Golden Knights member of 2004, Chris Talbert, has his name engraved on the 8-way Excalibur as well. Although... (more)

This year, they will represent the United States at the sport’s premier event, the outdoor world championship. The last time this happened was in Gap 2003, when Eric Heinsheimer, John Hoover, Kurt Isenbarger, and Chris Talbert competed for the U.S. Army and the U.S. delegation in France. With Tal Hunter on camera, the team earned the silver medal, finishing just behind the French home team. Eric Heinsheimer and John Hoover had already secured their places on the prestigious William H. Ottley Sword,... (more)

posted: Feb 10th, 2026 NSL News reported on January 15th that the Paraclete XP lineup had changed once again shortly after the start of the new year. The major shift followed the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025, when the three Golden Knights in the active lineup—Drew Starr, Jesse Stahler, and Mike Conners—stepped back from the team, along with John D'Annunzio, Andrew Happick, and Matt Davidson.
