Did you know that XP4 unveils a new 4-way Women lineup? posted: Feb 4th, 2026 The NSL News update on January 30th was part of the Wind Games 2026 coverage, but it also included a competition that had taken place two weeks earlier: the Air World Championships 2026 at CLYMB Abu Dhabi.
Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner mentioned the event during their recent NSL Live Talk conversation. Both competed in the 8-way event with Paraclete XP8, while Jeana Billings also flew in the 4-way event for XP4.
The XP4 lineup was essentially a pickup team, made up of XP8 members along with Laura Galdamez, who happened to be in Abu Dhabi for the 16-way competition. The all-female team enjoyed... (more)
Did you know that Michelle Karamon completed 19 rounds at the Wind Games? posted: Feb 3rd, 2026 The three U.S. teams at the Wind Games 2026 all made the Top 10 with impressive performances. The lowest finishing position was Tunnel Vision's 6th place, behind Golden Knights in 3rd and Arizona Airspeed in 5th.
Tunnel Vision and Arizona Airspeed were expected to be close to each other, even though the final NSL Power Rankings before Round 10 placed Tunnel Vision in its own league, between the three top teams and the group of challengers.
However, the competition unfolded in unexpected ways. Both U.S. teams went neck and neck throughout nine rounds and faced off in their own tie-breaker... (more)
Did you know that Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner share their recent world travel and XP8 story? posted: Feb 3rd, 2026 This week is an exceptionally busy one at Paraclete XP, where indoor winter training and preparations for the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2026 at the end of the month are in full swing.
An extraordinary group of teams and competitors is currently training at the only wind tunnel in the United States with a 16-foot flying chamber. To capture as much coverage and insight as possible, the NSL News scheduled a field trip to the facility.
Gary Smith, head coach of NMP PCH HayaBusa, had little time for a visit to his home on the island of Texel in the Netherlands. Instead, he continued his... (more)
Did you know that the French Aethers made a statement in Spain? posted: Feb 1st, 2026 The final scores on the Wind Games 2026 leaderboard tell the story. Once again, the Aethers dominated the field—just as they did a year ago, when they did not concede a single round at the same event. NMP PCH HayaBusa managed to tie two rounds at the Wind Games 2025, a feat they repeated again last weekend.
Among the two other national teams at the top of the leaderboard—NMP PCH HayaBusa and the Golden Knights—the Belgians can at least claim, statistically, that they have closed the gap to the French indoor world champions. They reduced the deficit from 33 points in 2025 to 28 points after... (more)
Did you know that Skynamite was the team of the first two days at the Wind Games? posted: Jan 30th, 2026 The Wind Games 2026 in Empuriabrava, Spain, have passed the halfway mark, with six rounds completed. The remaining four rounds are all scheduled for Saturday, with Round 10 set for mid-afternoon local time.
There have been few surprises so far. NMP PCH HayaBusa team captain Dennis Praet, along with Arizona Airspeed and HayaBusa coach Gary Smith, closely reviewed the NSL Power Rankings and made their final adjustments before the competition began.
After Round 6, the standings largely confirm those forecasts. The French Aethers appear to be even further ahead than expected, while NMP PCH HayaBusa... (more)
Did you know that Gary Smith provided updates from the Wind Games? posted: Jan 28th, 2026 Gary Smith explained during an NSL Live Talk conversation on 10 December 2025 that his work with Qatar’s formation skydiving delegation had come to an end. Having returned to the Netherlands, he is now ready to resume his highly successful collaboration with NMP PCH HayaBusa.
The first test of the next phase in his ongoing cooperation with the Belgian team will be the upcoming Wind Games 2026. There, the current HayaBusa lineup will face an exceptionally strong field of world-class 4-way indoor teams—possibly stronger than ever before at a single competition. The pressure on both team and... (more)
