News Article Did you know that VDV's 31.7 average is a new record number in Russia?
posted: May 17th, 2024 The NSL News reported scores of the Russian Indoor Cup 2024 with the update on May 4th. It pointed out that the lineup of the winning team, Airborne VDV, included Salomeya Popova, who had launched her 4-way team career just six months ago and finished the ten rounds for Airborne VDV with a 31.7 average. That alone was impressive enough for the update, while there is actually even more behind the performance of the winning team. VDV with the new and young competitor in the lineup were not expected to be a top contender for the 1st place. It seems like the team in 2nd place, Strike, had the strongest... (more)
News Article Did you know that Rainbow Magic features the Mirror Image 8-way team of 1979?
posted: May 16th, 2024 The NSL News 8-way update that covered the progression of the Qatar Falcons into the 2nd place in the world rankings mentioned the total dominance of the U.S. 8-way teams only briefly. The current national 8-way team, GKXP8, is so far ahead of any other opponents in this event that there seems to be only competition for silver and bronze medals at any world cups and world championships, and wherever the U.S. team is traveling to. GKXP8 and Qatar Falcons were separated by 51 points (228 - 177) at their last outdoor competition, the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023, where the U.S. team won all of the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Qatar Falcons are close to their team record level?
posted: May 16th, 2024 The Weembi FS Cup 2024 also included an 8-way competition. In fact, all Formation Skydiving indoor events at Weembi Lille usually include 8-way, as the 16-foot flying chamber is large enough to accommodate the size of 8-way formations and maneuvers. Weembi Lille was the first and only host of an FAI/ISC 8-way competition, which was embedded in the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019. Participating 8-way teams could not win FAI medals, as the event was and is not officially sanctioned by the world's indoor and outdoor federation. However, the medaling teams from the United States, France and Russia... (more)
News Article Did you know that the 30-average level is the next outdoor benchmark?
posted: May 15th, 2024 The recent scores at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 initiated a closer look by the NSL News at the history of indoor events. Result was a Top 10 ranking of 4-way indoor competition with the update on May 7th. Only three teams appeared on the special leaderboard (NMP PCH HayaBusa - Arizona Airspeed - Weembi High Rollers), and the headline reflected one of the remarkable facts after the evaluation. None of the ten highest indoor averages in history had support by a Super Sequence. Naturally, the NSL News was inspired to take the same closer look at the outdoor history, and the Top 10 positions... (more)

posted: May 13th, 2024 The NSL News had given some attention to the battle for the last Top 10 position in 4-way Open at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 with the update after Round 8 on April 19th. Out Of The Blue (OOTB) from the Netherlands and Netunos from Brazil were tied in 10th place after Round 8 at the end of the second competition day. Crazy Dragons from the Czech Republic had secured their 9th place. Qatar Cheetahs and Indonesia were too far behind OOTB and Netunos to join the competition for the Top 10 position. The two contenders from Europe and South America had their internal duel all for themselves in... (more)
