News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights 4-way team is currently training in Florida?
posted: Jan 28th, 2024 The Golden Knights 4-way and 8-way teams have traditionally conducted their outdoor winter camps in Florida, sometimes in South Florida, sometimes in Central Florida. The current agenda of the U.S. Army's Competition Team, now supported again by command and management, resumed the tradition, and the 4-way team traveled to Skydive City, where they are in the middle of their winter camp. They brought their coach, Arizona Airspeed's Niklas Hemlin, to Florida to continue the work that he has started with the new lineup. posted: Dec 22nd, 2023 The NSL News goes back in time until 1998, the year after the Florida Skydiving League initiated the start of the National Skydiving League. Several short articles and paragraphs of events in 1998 were recovered from other archives and copied into the NSL News database at SKYLEAGUE.COM. The currently oldest NSL News update covered 4-way activities in Florida and preparations of other new leagues joining the NSL Network. News Article Did you know that the Synchronicity story continued until 2006?
posted: Feb 23rd, 2021 The most recent NSL Live Talk conversation, anchored by Joey Jones and posted on February 17th, covered the beginnings of the 4-way Women category at FAI/ISC events. The first separate 4-way Women leaderboard at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving was added in Spain 2001. The guests at the NSL Live Talk, Eliana Rodriguez and Lena Jones, both competed at the first test events and at the first world meet. posted: Jul 13th, 2020 The recent NSL News updates from the archives, including video footage of interviews and competition jumps, were always connecting events of the past with current events. The Shamrock Showdown 2006 was one of the high-profile competitions that created similar connections. The interview with 4-way world champions Natasha Montgomery and Gary Smith, which was posted on July 8th, related to the same event. Their team DeLand Fire would win 4-way gold medals five months later at the FAI World Meet 2006. posted: Jul 8th, 2020 The NSL News has used the interruption of Formation Skydiving competition events by the corona virus crisis to catch up with interviews that were recorded long ago and hibernated in the archives. There is also a lot of additional video footage waiting that has not been published on SKYLEAGUE.COM yet. The recently published NSL News interviews were not recorded on video and can only be found in writing on the NSL News pages. News Article Did you know that the June leaderboards are the first ones with identical indoor and outdoor sequences?
posted: Jun 24th, 2020 One more team added scores and videos to the current NSL outdoor leaderboard for the month of June. It was ZEAL of the Florida Skydiving League who made the AA Class competition even more interesting. Teams from California, Arizona and Florida created a colorful mixture from across the United States after a corona crisis restart for dropzones and windtunnels in parts of the country. It is also a very competitive AA Class leaderboard, as all four participating teams were close to each other, and three of them posted highscores for single rounds.
