News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT posted a new team record number for a single round?
posted: Jul 27th, 2022 The first part of the Pre-Nationals 2022 was completed at Spaceland Houston last weekend, where Chief Judge Randy Connell and his two assistant judges were live at the competition site. They were still judging additional videos on the same last weekend, which were uploaded from other locations, including Spaceland dropzones in Texas and Skydive Midwest. NEXT completed all eleven rounds on their home turf on the first weekend of the extended time period for the Pre-Nationals 2022. The "emergency format" that the National Skydiving League created in 2020 to offer an alternative option for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Pre-Nationals 2022 will have the same format as in the past?
posted: May 20th, 2022 Participating in synchronized meets and competition draws of the NSL 4-way Network is nothing new for teams from Texas, neither for teams of the Texas Skydiving League, nor for the Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas. The Texas Skydiving League was one of the three leagues (Florida, Georgia, Texas) that launched the National Skydiving League with the first NSL Championship in 1998 at Skydive DeLand. DeLands Genesis (Florida), Convergence (Texas) and Mr. Pink (Georgia) were invited to the league championship event. The iFLY Dallas team joined the Indoor Cloud League in 2014, just a few... (more)
News Article Did you know that seven teams from Texas joined the September leaderboard?
posted: Sep 30th, 2021 The September leaderboard of the NSL 4-way Network is complete. The winners in the competitive categories (AAA - AA - A) came from three different leagues. The Test Subjects from Skydive Midwest had no opposing teams on the Rookie Class leaderboard and accomplished their first, the team's one and only scoring point, in the last round. SDMW NEXT member Greg Oldendick had put together this Rookie Class lineup. Teams from four leagues posted scores in the last month before the USPA Nationals 2021. Only the teams of the Texas Skydiving League did not claim one of the top spots in the three other... (more)
News Article Did you know that 4-way teams from Texas are regular USPA medal contenders?
posted: Aug 26th, 2021 Teams from Texas have played a major role in U.S. Formation Skydiving competition and have won many medals at USPA Nationals in the past. The Texas Skydiving League was one of the earliest 4-way leagues in the United States, together with Florida and Georgia, and the regular meets were surely instrumental for competitive teams on the way to USPA medals. Texas team Convergence represented the Texas Skydiving League at the first NSL Championship event in 1998, and one of the most experienced Formation Skydiving competitors in the United States, Scott Latinis, is currently offering regular meets... News Article Did you know that six Texas Skydiving League teams completed the July leaderboard?
posted: Aug 4th, 2021 Six more teams from Texas completed the NSL July leaderboard, which is now featuring a total of 27 teams in the four NSL outdoor categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR). Two of the teams on the AAA Class leaderboard in July are actually national teams who will also compete for their countries at the upcoming FAI Tanay Mondial 2021. The AAA Class leader, British national team in 4-way Open Chimera, were planning to compete in Russia, as well. However, the British Formation Skydiving delegation withdrew from the event, as the NSL News reported on June 11th, and Chimera are now getting ready for the national... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Texas Skydiving League was launched in 1997?
posted: May 18th, 2021 Yesterday's Spaceland Toxix update, which covered the 2021 season opener of the Texas Skydiving League, reached quite far back in time, as far as Demo McDonnell and Rich Delgado at the beginnings of their 4-way careers. The same update also mentioned TSL Director Scott Latinis who was already quite far ahead with his own 4-way training and competition by then. He witnessed the start of the Texas Skydiving League by Joe Hazel in 1997, in the summer after the Florida Skydiving League was launched in 1996/1997. TSL team Convergence then represented their league at the first NSL Championship... (more)
