... that skydivers will "Jump for Children" in Germany this June?

Jump for Children 2006
posted Apr 27th, 2006 - The management of the World Meet 2006 this summer in Germany has already started a PR campaign that will direct public attention to the event in Gera. The NSL News story on April 1 mentioned that the first efforts were on the way, supervised by a professional PR agency.

"Jump for Children 2006" is one part of this PR campaign and was initiated to use the momentum of the World Meet's media activities for a good purpose. The event management provided the NSL News with an official press release, which introduces the event.

Jump for Children 2006

For the first time in Germany's parachuting history skydivers will meet on June 10 and 11, 2006, to collect money for the German Child Cancer Foundation. Event location is Kassel-Calden, Germany's biggest dropzone and skydiving school, which also manages the World Meet 2006. The theme for this weekend is "Jump for Children 2006".

The German Cancer Foundation was founded in 1974, and its aim is collecting money to support different projects. The foundation has helped to improve the lives of many patients who suffer from cancer.

The skydiving event in Kassel-Calden will help to raise money for the foundation. Participating skydivers will direct money to the project with each jump ticket they purchase. The owner of the skydiving center, "Aero Fallschirmsport GmbH", committed to donate 3,- Euro for each sold jump ticket to the German Child Cancer Foundation.

German 4-way team EADS
The event management succeeded to attract additional sponsors to support "Jump for Children 2006". Three other companies will make additional donations that weekend based on the same concept. Each company pays 5,- or 10,- or 15,- Euro for each skydive made during the event. The money that participating skydivers will spend for pack jobs will also be donated to the same cause.

"Jump for Children 2006" is supported by the best skydivers in Germany. Members of the German national freefly team ("Freefly Paratec"), the German national 8-way team "FSC Remscheid", the national 4-way team "EADS", the national freestyle team and "Birdman" Rolf Brombach will join the charity weekend at Kassel-Calden to instruct and organise participating skydivers in all these different disziplines.

Additional special activities will include skydives from balloons, tube dives, Big-Ways in Formation Skydiving and Freeflying, tracking dives and hybrid jumps. Last but not least the event management has scheduled a big party on Saturday evening. For any questions or more information contact us: info@jumpforchildren.com

German 8-way team FSC Remscheid in action
The NSL News will re-visit the national teams of this year's World Meet host soon for an update. The 8-way team FSC Remscheid competed at the World Meet in Croatia 2004 and took the 4th place with a 14.0 average, while the 4-way team EADS placed 5th with an 18.3 average.

Both teams will once again represent Germany in the Formation Skydiving events of the 2006 World Meet, this time on home turf. Germany will also have a team in the 4-way Women's Class, and the NSL News update will include the situation in this category, as well.
