Did You Know...

... that DeLand Fire was still happy after round three?

DeLand Fire's member Natasha Montgomery after landing from round three
posted Sep 5th, 2005 - The NSL News had another chance to leave the work station after the completition of round two. This time, the NSL News kept away from teams that were getting ready for the next jump and apologized to Carolina Ice for the previous distraction. The Ice members took it easy and said that the team had a good round four. The complete AA Class scores of round four will be posted soon.

The NSL News moved on and was now looking for teams that had just landed from a jump. DeLand Fire was just walking across the runway after landing from their round three duties. The Fire members seemed to be in a good mood, and the NSL News turned on the camcorder. Fire member Gary Smith provided the feedback. Click here to watch and listen to the interview.

David Hart
Team Fastrax staff member and founder of the Jump Institute, David Hart, was observing the landings and activities, while the NSL News spent a few minutes with DeLand Fire. When the team members went back to the packing area, the NSL News asked David Hart for a few words on the current 4-way situation.

He was just as excited as of the tight competition as he was happy with his team's performance at this point. His new company, the Jump Institute, is a major supporter of skydiving competition, including sponsorship for the NSL and the USPA Nationals.

His business slogan encourages companies to "make the leap to increased organizational effectiveness", and he uses skydiving as a tool for his consulting business. "Minds are like parachutes: they function properly when open" is another motivational wisdom of the Jump Institute. The NSL News will try to get more information of David Hart's business operation later. His feedback is at the end of the interview with DeLand Fire.
