Did You Know...

... that Final Four Remscheid posted a new team record average?

Winner in Kassel-Calden: Final Four Remscheid
posted Jun 6th, 2010 - The eleven teams at the two meets in Germany continued with a few more rounds today, and Final Four Remscheid never showed a weak spot. The 16.5 average is the team's best result in the 7-year history, and the NSL News will introduce the 2010 lineup very soon.

Three teams competed in Kassel-Calden, including the two on the top of the current leaderboard, Final Four Remscheid and Usual Suspects. They competed for the official Northern German Championship 2010.

The other eight teams actually competed for the same honors, just at a different locaction. Takeoff Fallschirmsport runs its operation in Fehrbellin, a small town northwest of German's capital, Berlin. Last weekend's event was the first leg of the North Cup. The second event will be hosted by another skydiving center in the northern part of Germany.

Takeoff Fallschirmsport in Fehrbellin
Takeoff's home team, Airfix Fehrbellin, was the strongest team after the eight rounds that concluded the first meet of the North Cup. Airfix managed to get above the 10.0 level with a 10.3 average. The missing two rounds would probably even have improved the meet average.

Airfix Fehrbellin had team scores posted once before on the NSL leaderboard. A different lineup had competed at the German Nationals 2007, and the NSL News had brought the results from Germany to the on-line audience. It was a 10.7 average after ten rounds.

FSC Eisenach, the current German National 4-way team, won the German 4-way title the first time that year and has never given it away ever since.

The weather in Fehrbellin was perfect, but the meet was scheduled for only eight rounds. The other scores from Finald, Sweden and the USA will be added as soon as they are available.
