posted May 19th, 2010 - The NSL Talk with the French team Aerokart Deep Blue on 3 April 2010 at the World Challenge 2010 promised a surprise not only for the NSL News audience.

Team member Sophie Deremaux explained on camera that her team was very happy at the end of the first day in Bedford. She also mentioned that Round 2 had a special meaning for Deep Blue, and especially for her piece partner in the front piece, Françoise Simons-Hamouchi.

The French national team in the female 4-way category had won Round 2 by four points over the reigning 4-way world champions in the Open Class, Arizona Airspeed. The team members had a special agreement for this case, should it ever happen. The video of the NSL Talk with the whole team at the end of Saturday shows how Sophie Deremaux explains the agreement and the awaiting surprise for the audience. It also includes both teams' videos of Round 2.

Aerokart Deep Blue wins a round over Airspeed at the World Challenge 2010

Aerokart Deep Blue and Françoise Simons-Hamouchi did not follow up on the promise in Bedford. They did not find a shop on the weekend where they could buy what they needed to dye or color Françoise's hair according to the agreemeent.

However, the French mademoiselles said that they would still make good on the promise as soon as they would have the opportunity. It took a month before Aerokart Deep Blue got together again and remembered the promise.

A training camp in Maubeuge at the beginning of May had three days of bad weather, as Bérangère Duplouy reported. It was the perfect opportunity to get back to the Airspeed mission.

Bérangère Duplouy said that Françoise's new hair color did not turn out as blonde as it was planned.

The description of the used product to manipulate Françoise's hair color did not turn out to match the team's expectations.

However, Aerokart Deep Blue provided photos with evidence for the execution of the hair coloring mission, and Françoise Simons-Hamouchi seems to be happy with the results.

Bets like this one usually bring all kind of different offers of sacrifices by the challenger. The Aerokart Deep Blue challenge turned out to be more like a fun project for the team's Center Outside. The team is now thinking of shaving somebody's head next time...

Anyhow, Bérangère Duplouy also reported a "fantastic 9-day training camp for us with our new camera man". The next camp is scheduled for the beginning of June in Ampuriabrava, Spain.
