Did You Know...

... that Chris Farina had helmet troubles in Round 7?

posted Apr 4th, 2010 - It seems as if Airspeed is really in trouble this time.

The first results of the NSL Poll show that the majority of the audience doesn't believe any longer that the reigning 4-way world champions can make up the lost ground of Round 2.

It is hard to imagine, but it seems to be possible that Airspeed can really be defeated. The unique winning streak of 21 consecutive victories may come to an end at the World Challenge 2010.

Round 7 of the Top 10 teams at the World Challenge 2010
Chris Farina demonstrates the helmet situation
The scores for Round 7 will come next. The field on the very top of the leaderboard seems to become tighter with each new round. This is great and exciting 4-way competition at its best. Perris Fury was only one point ahead after Round 6, and Round 7 brought trouble.

Chris Farina had to improvise with a limited vision and a lot of distraction when he almost lost his helmet in Round 7. He said that eventually he held the helmet in place with his teeth. He demonstrated this for the NSL News.

It was a costly distraction, as Fury lost three points to Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge and had to give up the lead after Round 7. The French 29-pointer was the highscore for the round. Round 8 is complete, and the NSL TV videos are in the works. The scores for Round 7 will be posted in a minute, stay tuned.
