posted Oct 14th, 2022 - The annual International Skydiving Museum's Hall of Fame Celebration that the NSL News covered two days ago was also an opportunity for all generations of skydivers from across the planet to meet and greet, this time at Skydive DeLand and at the Hilton Daytona Beach Ocean Resort.

Some of the visitors just wanted to experience the induction of their friends and role models, the celebrities in the sport, in the Hall Of Fame. Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel, two names that have appeared increasingly in the recent NSL News, came to Florida for that reason, and it offered the NSL News at the same time the opportunity to introduce them to the audience with new NSL Live Talk.

The conversation took place during a break of the ceremony, and after the latest inductees of Formation Skydiving competitors had received their awards, Eliana Rodriguez, Solly Williams and Pete Allum .

Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel have been in the sport for seven years, and they have met the people who provide guidance, coaching and the entrance into the fascinating and addictive world of Formation Skydiving competition. Eventually, they decided not too long ago that they would like to share their own experiences with other skydivers and offer them the same activities that they have enjoyed in their own seven years.

NSL Live Talk with Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel at the Hall Of Fame Induction 2022

They joined their own 4-way and 8-way teams, in their own regions, and even if they had to travel to other locations, where they would meet like-minded skydivers and the leaders in the sport both. This year, they competed once again at the USPA Nationals just a few weeks ago.

Together they competed with Arizona Airspeed's world meet silver medalist of 2018, Ari Perelman, in 4-way Open (This Is Our Season), and Eric Daniel was also in the 10-way Speed lineup who won the gold medals and outscored the top favorites of the Airspeed 10-way team. Emily Bombardi was the alternate for 8-way Advanced Class winner Elsinore Jambalaya.

Their decision to become more involved and share their own experiences with others included the creation of a new Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Colorado Springs, where they have enjoyed great support for their events. More than 50 participants have attended their events by now, including several teams of the Air Force Academy.

Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel have consistently increased the scoring and performance level of the new iFLY Clorado Springs team (43-68-70-83-114) since they started in May.

The increasing 4-way momentum in their Colorado region that they have sparked supported their decision to add outdoor competition to the activities for their 4-way community. The re-start of the Colorado Skydiving League after the USPA Nationals at the end of September was the beginning of Emily Bombardi's and Eric Daniel's next chapter in their 4-way plans.

There is a cross-connection between 4-way competition in Colorado and the Air Force Academy teams, which goes back to the Colorado Skydiving League at the beginning of the millennium, as the NSL News reported on September 28th. In fact, AF 9-Ball member Jarrod Aranda, Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force, competed with Air Force Blue in 2002, first at the USPA Nationals, followed by the NSL Championship at SkyQuest Florida.

Air Force Blue won USPA silver medals in 4-way Intermediate in September 2002, while the November event at Fantasy of Flight was completely weathered out. Jarrod Aranda was back now, 20 years later, and he missed a USPA medal position on the 4-way Advanced Class leaderboard by only ten points.

Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel had more exciting news, which will be a part of the next preview of the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Meet. Guatemala is sending a team to a FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving for the first time. La Playa competed at the USPA Nationals in 2021 and again last month, and they are on their way to Eloy, where Emily Bombardi and Eric Daniel will help them through the next ten rounds of AAA Class competition.
