Did You Know...

... that two Lite XP members have the same roots at the Blue Sky Ranch?

Fallout and Lite XP at USPA Advanced Class awards in 2011
posted Jan 17th, 2020 - The recent update of the SkyVenture New Hampshire Indoor Championship and the step into the 4-way history of teams at the Blue Sky Ranch reveals more connections between different 4-way generations.

Two of the Lite XP members, Kim Hollander and Dave Grabowski, share parts of their own 4-way history with the Ronalter and Cunha families, who will be a significant part of the indoor competition at the end of the month.

The Lite XP history was covered comprehensively on 6 March 2019, and it mentioned briefly that Kim Hollander and Dave Grabowski were Ranch Fallout team mates beginning in 2009. Dave Grabowski had his 4-way home at the Blue Sky Ranch already when Ranch Pulse and Fallout competed with and against each other.

Kim Hollander and Dave Grabowski were still training and competing together with Fallout when they met their future team mates at the USPA Nationals 2011. Katrina and Devon Shows won the Advanced Class gold medals for Lite XP. In fact, all four Lite XP members of 2019 competed at the same event, as Andre Van Heerden placed ahead of Lite XP and Fallout with guest team Perris Air Rush.

Lite XP's scoring progression between 2009 and 2019
Lite XP at the USPA Nationals 2017
Dave Grabowski joined Lite XP first in 2015, and Kim Hollander followed a year later. Original Lite XP members Katrina and Devon Shows were their team mates for a year, before Andre Van Heerden completed the current lineup in 2017 replacing Devon Shows.

Katrina Shows, Kim Hollander, Dave Grabowski and Andre van Heerden have been training and competing together for Lite XP since 2017, and Cory Kossan was filming the team most of the time at outdoor meets.

The different Lite lineups have been competing in the 4-way Open Class at USPA Nationals since winning the AAA/Advanced Class gold medals in 2011, and the scoring progression has been very consistent throughout the years. The lineup of the last three years still increased the pace more than ever before, and Lite XP missed the 18-average level only by one point at the USPA Nationals 2019.

The 17.9 average was a new team record number and was rewarded with the 5th place in the USPA Open Class rankings. It was the best 4-way Open Class placement in the Lite XP history.
