Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features Ranch 2nd Generation and Spaceland Lite?

Spaceland Lite with Andre van Heerden
posted Jan 14th, 2017 - Ben Liston, organizer of the annual indoor competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire, has made the competition videos of the event available for the Sun Path Products NSL News, and the audience has the opportunity to review Ranch 2nd Generation's ten winning rounds.

The video review also features Spaceland Lite, who finished in 2nd place, 15 points behind the winner.

Spaceland Lite had to travel to New Hampshire without Inside Center Devon Shows, who was not available on the meet weekend.

However, Lite found an adequate substitute with Andre van Heerden. Outside Center Katrina Shows said that her team really enjoyed the competition with him:

"Andre was great to fly with and a great team mate."

Savolo at the FAI World Meet Prostejov 2014
Andre van Heerden is a highly experienced 4-way competitor. He joined forces with Kim Hollander and Dave Grabowski who he knows from earlier days of the Ranch Skydiving League. He has competed at several USPA Nationals and many other indoor and outdoor 4-way and 8-way meets ever since, including the World Challenge 2013 in Bedford with Rabbit Restraint (Don Burnette, Mikhail Markin, Uli Steuwe).

He was also a judge at the same event in New Hampshire in 2013. Last and not least, he has trained and competed with the South African national 4-way team Savolo and was in the lineup at the FAI World Meet Prostejov 2014.

He has helped out Savolo whenever the South Africans needed him to fill a slot, last time at the World Challenge 2016.

Most of the AAA Class competitors in New Hampshire were also player coaches with other teams in lower categories. Katrina Shows said that all Spaceland Lite members had additional lineups.

Ranch Fallout in 2007
Dave Grabowski was the player coach for Last Last Minute (Serena Paul, Brandon Needham, Justin Gonzalez) with a 4-way rookie who had never flown in a wind tunnel before the competition.

Kim Hollander and Katrina Shows also finished in 2nd place of the AA Class competition with Third Chance (Beth York, Jeff Atherton). Andre van Heerden placed 1st in the same category as the player coach for his three angels (Nadja Lonnroth, Hollie Reno, Veera Ronalter).

Most of the additional Lite lineups were somehow connected to the Ranch 4-way community, where Kim Hollander and Dave Grabowski are coming from. Katrina Shows said how impressed not only the Ranch competitors are:

"Everyone had a blast, and we were absolutely amazed how well 2nd Generation is doing. It is so great seeing hard work, fun and commitment pay off, they are a pleasure to be around, and we are very happy for their success."
