posted Dec 22nd, 2015 - Canada's national 4-way team Evolution has never missed a round at any World Championship of Formation Skydiving since the team represented Canada for the first time in 2006. Eventually, the three Lemay brothers (Martin, Vincent, Benoit) won their first world meet 4-way Open Class medals with the 3rd place in Prostejov 2014, together with Katie Woods and videographer Jean Christophe Oumet.

The Lemay brothers also began to entertain themselves and impress the skydiving world when they decided to compete in 4-way VFS at the same time. They started with a 15.3 average in 4th place at the Mondial Dubai 2012 and won their first VFS bronze medals in Prostejov 2014, together with the 4-way Open Class bronze medals.

It was the first time in history that a 4-way team won medals in 4-way Open and 4-way VFS at the same World Championship of Formation Skydiving.

Evolution had two different lineups in Prostejov 2014, one with Point Katie Woods in 4-way Open, and the VFS lineup with Open Class videographer Jean Christophe Oumet in front of the camera, while Jeevee Vadeboncoeur was filming the VFS action.

Martin, Vincent and Benoit Lemay then continued with Jean Christophe Oumet in both lineups this year. Katie Woods helped the new belly flying 4-way competitor to get familiar with the dive pool and all its tricks before the new double-event lineup attended the first series of 4-way meets this year.

Evolution, now with Jean Christophe Oumet, Martin, Vincent, Benoit Lemay and Jeevee Vadeboncoeur on camera, had their first serious meet test at the three events of the recent Dubai indoor and outdoor double-header, the Clash of Champions 2015 and the World Air Games 2015.

No other team in Dubai attended three 4-way events at the two events, and the Evolution adventure began with the competition at Inflight Dubai. The 5th place was an impressive starting point with new 4-way Open Class competitor Jean Christophe Oumet. The teams in 3rd (Weembi Lille) and 4th place (Golden Knights) would not compete at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving, and Evolution would be tied in 3rd place with the Qatar Tigers.

It became more challenging at the outdoor competition when both events ran at the same time, and the new lineup did not have much outdoor training before competing in Dubai. Russia's well outdoor-trained Black Cat lineup finished far ahead in 3rd place, and the Qatar Tigers outscored Evolution, too.

The compensation came in 4-way VFS where Jean Christophe Oumet has much more experience than in 4-way Open. Evolution won the VFS gold medals in Dubai, and only the strongest US team is between the Canadians and the top position in the world at this point in time.
