Did You Know...

... that Round 1 in 8-way has the fastest sequence of the competition?

USPA 4-way champion: Arizona Airspeed
posted Oct 27th, 2015 - The 4-way leaderboards of the USPA Nationals 2015 are complete, and the 8-way competition has begun.

Two of the three 4-way events needed an extra round to determine the USPA medal winners. Only Arizona Airspeed, SDC Rhythm XP and Golden Knights were unchallenged in their medal positions, which are identical with the placing at the USPA Nationals 2014.

The Air Force Advanced Class team Smolder, with former Airspeed member Andy Honigbaum coaching, ran away from the field. Perris Quattro, with Airspeed 4-way world champion of 2012, Josh Hall as the player coach, was safely in 2nd place. Event Horizon and Dauntless 5 needed the extra round to break the tie for the bronze medals. Air Force Allegiance won the jump-off round for the 3rd place in the Intermediate Class over Southern Mix, who were guided by player coach John D'Annunzio.

Team captain Sean Sweeney added his own thoughts to Chris Talbert's comments, and both agreed that it would be a fast sequence, with an expected score in the high 20s. However, after Sean Sweeney had landed from Round 1 he had a different impression. The score could be closer to the standing 31-pointer world record of 1997...
