Did You Know...

... that France, Dubai and Russia battle for the 8-way medals?

Benoit Lemay with the Bisson family at SkyVenture Montreal
posted Nov 29th, 2014 - SkyVenture Montreal posted new Indoor Cloud League scores and videos and has taken a 1-point lead over iFLY Orlando for November. Benoit Lemay, Evolution's youngest member and Lemay brother, guided the Bisson family (father Richard with daughter Valerie and son Yannick) through the AAA Class sequence and took away the highscore in this category from the Czech Bad Boys before traveling to Dubai and compete with Evolution at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship.

Evolution's 4-way Open Class lineup has a day off, which does not count for Martin, Vincent and Benoit Lemay, plus videographer Jean-Christophe Ouimet, who gets his turn in front of the camera in 4-way VFS today.

The main Formation Skydiving competition today does not take place in 4-way VFS where only two teams have signed up. The 8-way teams are in the air, and the first scores have been posted.

1st place in 8-way after Round 1: France
It will be a battle for the 1st place as it was expected, and as the scores of Round 1 are indicating. The French combination of current and former national 4-way and 8-way competitors won the first round by one point, with Russia and Dubai Asaar only one point behind.

Not only France (Thomas Perrin-Gachadoat, Jeremie Rollett) and Monaco Vitalsea (Martial Ferre, Paul Grisoni) have former 8-way world champions in the lineup. Dubai's 8-way lineup has changed, as well. Craig Girard has been player coach in 8-way from the beginning, while Eliana Rodriguez has not trained and competed for a long time, due to back problems.

She is back in the lineup now, and 4-way Women player coach Elena Chistova is also competing in 8-way. She was a member of the Russian national 8-way team years ago. The first NSL Reality TV clip from Dubai introduces the 8-way teams from Qatar and Dubai.
