Did You Know...

... that the front pieces have the AAA Class slot switchers this month?

Participants of last week's FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando
posted Oct 6th, 2014 - The Florida Indoor Cloud League group at iFLY Orlando was once again the first one to post scores and videos for the new October sequences.

The September leaderboard is not complete yet, as the videos from SkyVenture Montreal still need to be added to the scoring numbers. It has always been interesting to see who was in the Canadian lineups, as 4-way celebrities like Katie Woods (Evolution) and shooting stars like Valerie Bisson (Fuzion) have joined the Indoor Cloud League events here and there.

Richard Bisson reported from Canada that his daughter Valerie came back with great experiences and stories from the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 where she turned 18 years during the competition. He said that her younger brother Yannick is now making his own plans to compete at a world meet when he will be at that age.

A Class highscore: Amer Kassas, Alix Raymond, Hal Spence, Chris Rhodes
The Florida group had five different lineups this time, and three of them competed with each other for the best scores in three of the six categories (Rookie AA - Rookie AAA - A Class). Amer Kassas, Chris Rhodes and Alix Raymond actually turned in the highest Rookie AA Class score (23) with player coach Hal Spence. However, Amer Kassas was not eligible any longer for this category, and Hal Spence's other lineup with Leigh Estabrook, Seth Claytor and Jairo Garcia made it onto the ICL leaderboard with their 19-pointer.

Three DeLand Aurai members (Cathy Luo, Rodrigo Espinosa, Alix Raymond) teamed up with Jon Bojar, who used to jump with 4-way teams at Skydive City years ago. He is in the middle of a 4-way comeback and replaced Leslie Eggenberger in the center inside slot last Thursday evening. This lineup posted the 17-pointer as the highest score of this 3-team competition in the Rookie AAA Class.

ZEUS founding member Amer Kassas then added the A Class 18-pointer, together with Chris Rhodes, Alix Raymond and Hal Spence. He is still eligible for the Rookie AAA Class where his lineup was outscored by the modified DeLand Aurai lineup. Team ZEUS has a tryout coming up for the 4th slot in the Rookie Class team.

Long-time Teiwaz members Robert Chromy and Kurt Gaebel had not been in any of this year's lineups together and eventually joined forces for the first time to fly the AAA and AA Class sequences at iFLY Orlando. AAA Class newcomers Sebastian Jimenez and James Hall once again tried new sequences with more memory this month.

The ICL September seqences had challenged the rear pieces with slot switchers. This month, the front pieces have to learn how to deal with a 12-point sequence (H,14,K,3). The AA Class sequence (C,11,14) brought some relief for the same lineup, even though Block 11 (Photon - Photon) is a challenging maneuver in a 12-foot flying chamber.

Last but not least, Robert Chromy also guided Mark Messersmith, Allie Bawden and Jon Bojar to the 12-pointer in the Rookie A Class. The Florida group has scheduled two more Indoor Cloud League events this month, and the current total of 96 points will not be iFly Orlando's last word...
