Did You Know...

... that Shannon Pilcher and Solly Williams discussed topics of the Paraclete week?

Shannon Pilcher and Solly Williams with Paraclete's 8way team
posted Mar 19th, 2014 - The Sun Path Products NSL News continues with the aftermath of the Paraclete XP Indoor and Outdoor Championship 2014 before turning to the Canadian Indoor Championship 2014 this weekend and then the live coverage of the World Challenge 2014.

Shannon Pilcher and Solly Williams took some time for a live NSL Talk on Tuesday, which was mostly a discussion of the recent events. The conversation happened just in time, as Shannon Pilcher was getting ready to leave DeLand for a trip to Montreal.

This time, he is not only coaching Evolution. Katie Woods is not available for the indoor competition this weekend, and Shannon Pilcher will fill the slot. Evolution has once again a very busy agenda at their home tunnel, as the three Lemay brothers compete in several events while coaching other local and regional Canadian teams.

Shannon Pilcher was also working with Carolina Turbo XP at the Paraclete double header. The new Turbo lineup with Tail Nick Grillet and coach Shannon Pilcher had a very successful competition week. The 24.7 average in Raeford was far better than any previous Turbo indoor results (18.1 - 20.1 in 2012 and 2013).

Turbo's 20.1 outdoor average is also the first time that the young team broke the 20-average benchmark. Last year's Turbo lineup had posted a 20.1 average at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship and now transfered this scoring level to outdoor competition and closer to SDC Rhythm XP.

Last not least, Shannon Pilcher also competed himself. He was in Paraclete XP's 8way lineup at the indoor competition, where he shared the 16-foot chamber with Solly Williams in the same lineup. Then he also accepted a Teiwaz invitation for the outdoor competition.

Solly Williams competed only in 8way in Raeford and was busy with ground work in DeLand. He was coaching both teams from Denmark, VAF Warriors and Aerodyne Steam, and he also had to focus on his new coaching job with the Golden Knights. All three teams competed at both Paraclete events.

It was difficult for the busy coaches to follow the competition on the top of the leaderboard. However, Solly Williams said that the Golden Knights shared some tunnel time with NMP-PCH Hayabusa prior to the indoor competition, and he had the opportunity to watch the Belgian training performance. He was very impressed, and the conversation included a brief review of the skills progression over the years.

Arizona Airspeed's challenging situation was the next topic, and the 8way competition received attention during the NSL Talk, as well. Finally, Shannon Pilcher explained that the story of his accident has turned into a motivational event for himself and others. The conversation could have lasted for hours and was eventually limited to 30 minutes.
