Did You Know...

... that Maximum Ride won the 8way competition in Canada?

Evolution's VFS 4way lineup
posted Jul 20th, 2013 - The Canadian Nationals 2013 also included an 8way and a VFS 4way competition at NouvelAir.

The VFS 4way competition had two teams on the leaderboard, while seven teams attended in 8way over five rounds. Evolution's VFS lineup won easily over the Parachute Montreal instructors with a 14.7 average after six rounds, despite Martin Lemay's shoulder injury .

Canada's national 8way team of 2012, Maximum Ride, was facing more opposition than Evolution in VFS 4way. It was still a 4-point lead after five rounds that made it a successful title defense for the Canadian 8way veterans.

Old and new 8way champion: Maximum Ride
The 7.8 average was the highest meet average for Maximum Ride, after a 6.0 average at the USPA Nationals 2012 and a 7.5 average at the Mondial Dubai 2012.

Maximum Ride also went 2-digit for the first time in Round 3 (6,N,5) after several 8-pointers as the team's maximum score for a round so far.

The new video shows the Canadian 8way team with all eight rounds at the Mondial Dubai 2012. Maximum Ride did not make the cut for the semifinals, which stopped the 10-round meet after eight competition jumps for six of the 16 teams in Dubai. The other video shows the Canadian 8way team Colateus who won the bronze medals this week at NouvelAir.
